The "Your Favorite Songs" thread has turned into a discussion on Stan Rogers. Hopefully, this thread will pull that discussion over here for those interested in Stan.

Highlander currently has only four tracks by Stan in the playlist:

Barrett's Privateers, Bluenose, Northwest Passage, The Mary Ellen Carter

These are among Stan's best. Barrett's is his hallmark song. It has a number of covers and parodies.

There are a number of Stan's songs which I think should be in the playlist. The foremost are "The Witch of the Westmoreland" and "Giant", which are Celtic folk.

From "Fogarty's Cove", I recommend "Forty-five Years", "Fogarty's Cove", "The Wreck of the Athens Queen", "Make and Break Harbour".

From "Between the Breaks, Live", "The White-Collar Holler", "Rolling Down to Old Maui".

From "Northwest Passage", "Field Behind the Plow", "Free in the Harbor".

From "From Fresh Water", "Tiny Fish from Japan", "The Last Watch (on the Midland)".

From "From Coffee House to Concert Hall", "Acadian Saturday Night". "Leave Her, Johnny, Leave Her"

I do not know how to get these titles in the playlist, but I would like to help out if I can. I saw Stan in concert numerous times and heard all of these titles in person. One night, Stan was playing with the Friends of Fiddler's Green, which was a treat.
