Last Saturday, I was at the house virtually all day and had to get a lot of work done. Hence, me and the computer became "attached at the hip" for the day. Since this was the case, I got to listen to our radio station here for the first time in a long time . . . uninterrupted! What a blast!
The variety of the music was just terrific. And it was fun to get back into requesting songs and getting to rate them. Love doing that in that I can actively support Celtic artists that I enjoy. It's a great way to let people hear some new tunes and such.
I've been a loyal member of our little fraternity for years and it's not like I never listen. This was just one of those rare days in which I could listen all day and have no one to call me away to other things.
Maybe you're like me and need to "rediscover" Celtic Radio. I had such a great time! I'm looking forward to the next time "stuck at work" so I can listen all day again! We have a great set of stations here that are waiting to be discovered, or rediscovered! I invite you to do so!
Thanks, Paul, for all you do to make this happen. Still the best place on the web for good Celtic tunes! Love it!!!

It is great when you can listen to such a wide range of music over several hours. It keeps me from getting bored and no matter how long I listen I always get introduced to new musicians.
Highlander Radio is my favourite option except during this Christmas time, I think that so much season's music may be kind of boring. Therefore these days I am moving to the other channels. There is always Celtic music to have fun! Merry Christmas and happy new year to all the members of this community and thank you for letting me be part of it!

I first got into celtic music way back in the year 1995 with Enya's In Memory of Trees Cd by a coworker and then later on by Riverdance and ren faires. Can't remember when I found this station but it sure has been a Godsend. My life is pretty much a living frantic hell most of the time and this is one of those things that helps me maintain. I probably have over 100 CD's of various celtic music singers and bands. Now I have to load all of that onto an MP3 player cuz my new Kia Soul doesn't come with CD players anymore. Please keep the Celtic music coming. We Cd's disappearing from stores I can't even get Celtic CD's anymore without a 5 hour drive to the Twin Cities.

I've been listening on and off to Celtic Radio for awhile, but have, recently joined.
As I go through all these old topics, I find it fun to read some of the responses, and add my own. It's kinda catchy

Many thanks for your feedback. For the past few years we have really been working on our method of adding new music to the broadcast. We pretty much listen to every track added and place into buckets - I think this is how Pandora does it, but we might have a little edge being so niche.
Thanks again, we will keep it going. Just got 18 new CDs of some wonderful stuff. Included in there is Blackmore's Night latest CD - exciting! It's getting crazy!
Plus Haynes you have sent us many CDs over the years or have recommended some of the bands that have sent us CDs so thank YOU very much too!
I have been listening to Celtic music since before 1970, but it was generally hit and miss or opportunistic. After that it was by album or cassette and not till 2000 and my first computer with the advent of inter-net music could I get my fix. About 2003 or so I discovered Winamp and I have been using it almost exclusively since, even with all it's issues. That's where I found Highlander Radio several weeks ago which in turn lead me here to Celtic Radio.net. It's the first station I click on when I open my lap-top. I'm sure glad to be here...Thanks.

It is a pleasure to introduce new bands to the site and provide CD's when I can. Every band I hear, I encourage them to send in some music.
This is a great place for musicians to get exposure and airplay. Love what we do around here!!
