I wrote this a few weeks ago and was quasi happy as to the way it turned out... A few people have suggested that I turn it into a song but, alas, I know not how..eh..such is life... enjoy Dream sweet under Nocturn's blanket. Lupercus's blessings this night. I will be in oblivion soon as well. Maybe we'll meet in the otherworld. A dance? A glance? A tender moment under a sunlit, starry sky. Maybe a walk on the ever churning ocean?s tide? Dream sweet under Nocturn's blanket. Lupercus's blessings this night. Dream of the days that have been And those to come. Love that was And love that is waiting Under a pail moon And a veiled mask Dream sweet under Nocturn's blanket. Lupercus's blessings this night. Know that while you are in Night?s embrace And the Wolf?s care We are under the same sky And breathe the same air. Even though I am here And you are there. Dream sweet under Nocturn's blanket. Lupercus's blessings this night. Know that One day Some night I will be here You will be there And, across the abyss of dreams, we will dance and touch upon the ever moving tide. |

Beatutiful Personally, I'd reformat some of the shorter lines for a slightly different feel. At least in the last stanza. But I like what it says, and the way it says it A conversation via dreams. Via dreams in the night. A moment to ponder, a love lost, a friend found. Thinking on a subject, ohh so far away. A moment of piece, a moment of reflection, in the shadow; the veil, of the night. |

Thanks for the input,Aaediwen. I had thought about doing away with the repetition and just leaving it in the first stanza..and merging some of the shorter lines. somethign like: Dream sweet under Nocturn's blanket. Lupercus's blessings this night. I will be in oblivion soon as well. Maybe we'll meet in the otherworld. A dance? A glance? A tender moment under a sunlit, starry sky. Maybe a walk on the ever churning ocean?s tide? Dream of the days that have been And those to come. Love that was And love that is waiting under a pail moon And a veiled mask Know that while you are in Night?s embrace And the Wolf?s care We are under the same sky and breathe the same air. Even though I am here And you are there. One day Some night I will be here You will be there And, across the abyss of dreams, we will dance and touch upon the ever moving tide but I may keep it as is and try to find someone to put it to music.. thanks again |

Or you might put the two tag lines first and at end of poem like bookends. |

A few more ramblings She's no here Shelley's not here anymore Oh, that's her on the floor But Shelley's not here anymore. She's left us all with a single trip and fall A stumble sent her away Shelley's not here anymore Oh, that's her in the corner But She's not here. She's gone away Lost in her own world Set adrift on dark winds Shelley's not here anymore. Oh, that's her cowering in the dark But she's not here anymore. She's lost in her own boschetto Screaming in the darkened woods for a release For an escape from her captors Shelley's not here anymore Oh, that's her locked in that room But Shelley's not here anymore She has been locked away by her fears Screaming for release from herself Dying from within Shelley's not here anymore Oh, that's her in that husk But Shelley's not here anymore. Grey's Creed I am a sinner and a saint I am a murderer and a savior I am a thief and I am honest I am a liar and a prophet I am everything and nothing . I am the beginning and the end I have never existed , I will never exist and I don't exist I have existed since the beginning of time and will exist forevermore I am perfect and I am flawed I am the greater good and the greatest evil I exist to bring life and to destroy it as well I am mankind's greatest hope and their worst nightmare I have been persecuted and exalted I will live forever and I am forever dead I am an angel and a demon I have served good and evil I am your closest friend and a perfect stranger I am all you could ever want and none of what you need I am all you love and everything you hate I am the yin and the yang I am push and pull , Purity and corruption I am exactly like you and your exact opposite I am real and I am a phantom I am a priest and a warrior Within my soul bums constant turmoil between my dual sides My kind will be the deciding factor in Armageddon We are ourselves We are you We are human We are immortal We are Grey . |

Love is never doubting Never waivering Never wanting Love is in the eyes In the touch In the caress Love is a filling of your soul An emptying of worries And a faith in the other that surpasses all other emotions ever known in any corner of the physical or spiritual world-M.R. Lovell |

I'll argue(or arm wrestle) with anyone who says that writing isnt a creative, productive and healty catharsis. I walk the wild path Where few dare to go Past the beaten trail Near the hidden hollow I walk hand in hand with the goddess Travel along side the horned one And listen to the secrets of the green man Down the hill And past the grotto I?ve walked the shores of Avalon Drank in the meade halls of Valhalla And Prayed in the temples of Shangri-La Past the darkness To where the hazel grows I have found peace in a storm Quiet in the rustle of the leaves Life in death Power in stillness And importance in the smallest of things I walk the wild path Where few dare to go There are many things And many wonders Take my hand And together Down the wild path We will go |

It?s the hours between dawn and dusk that it happens. When ghosts walk the earth and memories stand on the precipice between creation and oblivion. It?s this time that the past comes calling and the memories wrap their arms around us like long lost, deceased brethren holding us close with love and smothering us to death; It?s the instant eternity when what is real and what is a dream dance and become one; when the ethereal touches the material and the past becomes one with the future in an orgy of ecstasy and hope. It?s these moments that we have all we want and yet are still empty handed. This is when the veil is thinnest and thought becomes reality; wishes become stone. In this time and we are together. In my soul and in my tears we live hand in hand and arm in arm intertwined together. In these hours between life and death we still are and still exist. We still laugh, caress and still love. It?s in this place of reality and dream, hope and whisper that I am whole. -me more of a free verse and train of thought than a poem..but I felt like sharing |
