Rented session 9(again..man, thats a great indie flick) as well as Ju-On(japanese gudge) and Ringu( the ring) session 9 was great even after seeing it before but the other two...ugh...I enjoy a nice ovie with suspense that gives you goosebumps and I have heard a great deal about how these were creepier than the american versions( I saw the grudge and was very dissapointed..not as let down as I was with the village but...) I have to say that they were not. Both were very dry and not (in any way) creepy..I think the most suspense was waiting for something to happen:"Its gotta happen now...no...ok..now?..umm..now?"

I saw The Phantom of the Opera recently, and WOW!!! It was amazing! I'm not usually a big fan of musicals, but this one wasn't over the top at all. Minnie Driver was hilarious as Carlotta. And we've discussed that gorgeous Scot who plays the Phantom... Yowza! Gerard Butler may be the tastiest thing to come from Scotland in a very long time!

I saw it the day it came out.
The real star was Emmy Rossum, who played Christine.
I saw the play when it was here in Chicago when I was in high school, so I did have a few reservations about it. At the end of the movie, everyone in the theater applauded. There was only one word I could say after seeing it: Oscar.
Needless to say, I was not a happy camper when I saw the list of Oscar nominees and "Phantom" got hosed ! So to all the Academy voters, you're number 1 !

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Glad to oblige, Rosie! I think maybe next week-end I might go see Phantom, of course Mike would think that the star of the show would be Emmy Rossum who played Christine! I beg to differ!

Yep, me too! I know who I would be staring at the whole time and needing a bib too! Let me know what you think!
My hubby didn't think Troy was a chick flick. He liked it. Plenty of action and blood.LOL I also cried when Hector was killled.

Holy cow! That is Eric Bana?! He looks like one of the guys in my Scottish romance novels! I gotta see this movie, Troy, now!
Thanks for letting me know if it is a chick flick or not, gals!
Eric Bana was a good comedian in the Land of Oz, since seeing him in `Troy` just think he did a great job, and boy he did scrub up well think he stole Brad`s thunder, yep he did well in this movie.
anyone seeing his comedy work before `Black Hawk Down` would be hard put to recognise him, and he is a genuinely nice guy
you didn't like it, Becca? that's one of my favorite movies! I thought it was the best retelling of Dracula I have ever seen. I like the Frankenstein with Robert DeNiro, too.
