Thought for todays world:

If there were no politicians,

If there were no armies,

If there were no borders,

If we all settled our disagreements one on one,

IF.....!

War is caused by old men wanting control over the lives of others and is payed for with the lives of those so young they have yet to live life to it's fullest!

Grant me the fortitude to forgive those that are my enimies and the wisdom to make them my friends!

One can not profess to be of "GOD" and show intolerence and prejudice towards the beliefs of others.

Am fear nach gleidh na h–airm san t–sith, cha bhi iad aige ’n am a’ chogaidh.
He that keeps not his arms in time of peace will have none in time of war.

Hi Shadows! Nice to meet you! I just wanted to let you know that this was beautiful, and regardless of our religious beliefs, I think you've just found something that we can agree upon! Thanks for posting it!

Thank you sir, but it is not all my doing!

Some comes from John Lennon, some comes from the rule of three, some comes from the rebel Jesus and some comes from the heart!

I just placed all those thoughts here as one.

Very nice! I thought I sensed a bit of Lenon in there.

Normal is a relative term. For some reason it is not a term my relatives use to describe me.

Well, Peckery, I could think of a couple, but for the majority, you are absolutely correct!!!

Well Peckery that is true , I can think of some wars that this was not the case though... but on the whole you are right!

No religion would be a hard thing to do since we all look for something to believe in even if it is not believing in any deity!

But that belongs elsewhere then here in the general topics area, don't you think?

Yes,

IF

I guess part of me is a woman from the old school. I have a great deal of difficulty understanding the point of war. Death, destruction, sorrow and for what? A little more ground? A principle that got lost as the blood began to flow. I know it is more complex than that, but I can't look beyond the human equation.

Compassion is the sometimes fatal capacity for feeling what it is like inside somebody else's skin. It is the knowledge that there can never really be any peace and joy for me until there is peace and joy finally for you too.
