Yes it is true, we are going to be moving CelticRadio.net and ScottishRadio.net to a new hosting provider. Why? Because our current DSL line can not support 1.9 mil hits a month and provide the performance needed to support more than 30+ concurrent web users. The increased bandwidth requirements are also having an effect on our broadcast, which is hosted on the same line, and causes degradation in the sound quality.

We received a recommendation from a very reputable source of a hosting provider that is less than $10 a month which will support our current needs. Expect sometime over the next 3 days we will shutdown the forum for a brief period while we make the transition to the new provider. After the move our site should be sizzling at warp over drive!

FYI ? we still plan on keeping our own webserver running under CelticHearts.com for future development and as a test environment for the development of our web based scripts.

G B You shouldn't have to change a thing as all Paul's doing is moving the hosting but teh URL's should still be the same. unsure.gif

A lot of the time also Paul can redirect an URL so if it's one he owns he can redirect it to the correct URL so just because it changes from Scottish to Celtic or back doesn't mean you'd neccessarily have to change the URL. smile.gif

The site move has been canceled. There are some technical issues that we need to overcome before we can move the site. The amount of time required would just be too much right now.
