To-day the Dominion of Canada is 143 years young and we stand tall and proud in the world. We are the best. On this day, as on every day, the young men and women of our armed forces are never far from my thoughts. I along with millions of my fellow Canadians are very proud of them and honour their sacrifice. At noon adorned in my red Canada Tee shirt I will attend the BBQ and small ceremony at the Legion just across the street.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA, MY BELOVED LAND. BON FETE CANADA

Well , sadly in Quebec people do not celebrate a lot Canada day like they celebrate Quebec day on june 24.I personally prefer Canada day because it mean the vacations are coming real soon.

Bonne fête Canada

Happy Canada Day to all of our neigbors to the north!

You hosers drink all the Molson, Moosehead or Labatt Blue you want today, eh? Oh, and watch the official movie of Canada, "Strange Brew".

My family and I found out about Canada Day the hard way about 25 years ago. We were going on a trip of eastern Canada and the US East Coast. We left the weekend of Canada Day, figuring we'd spend the night in Windsor. Everywhere we tried was booked because of the holiday. We ended up going halfway to Toronto the first night.

May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

One of our PMs once said the following or words to this effect. " Good first created the Birch Bark Canoe, then he created Canada , then he created the paddle"
Now this is a Creation Myth I can support.

"Canada is probably the most free country in the world where a man still has room to breathe, to spread out, to move forward, to move out, an open country with an open frontier. Canada has created harmony and cooperation among ethnic groups, and it must take this experience to the world because there is yet to be such an example of harmony and cooperation among ethnic groups."
