"Memories"

Memories are something special
That you hold close to your heart
Everyday we are making memories
Memories you always think back to
I have memories of 16 years
However, you may have even more

I remember Ogunquit, Maine with my grandma
We had so much fun, walking to the beach
Grilled cheese?s, and swimming till summer's end
I looked forward to it every year
Now it is a memory I hold close to my heart

Memories are something special
We make them everyday
We look back upon them with, photos, videos, and in our minds
Their are so many times that I will not forget
So many things that went unsaid

I remember when my sister was born
I remember holding her, and seeing her look up to me
She is now six, and wants to be just like me
I enjoy the present, because someday that may change
This is a memory I hold closest to my heart
For no one will understand the closeness of sisters
Except sister's themselves

Memories are something special
I will remember them for the rest of my days
I know someday, I will wish myself back to 16
Remembering the days of being so young
Right now, I will enjoy the present
Enjoy the good times I am having now
For we are making memories
Memories I will hold close to my heart

"Oh sister Oh sister"

I love you so
Oh sister, Oh sister
I need you so
You are my sun, on a cold rainy day
You are my smile, when the skis are gray
Oh sister, Oh sister
I love you so
Oh sister, Oh sister
I need you so

PB&J sandwiches, and Ba ba's warmed up with chocolate milk
I comb your hair, tie your shoes
And even wipe your nose
Someday this will all come to an end
But I will always be able to call you up and say,
"Hey sis ,wanna come over for a PB&J sandwich?"
"My sister is the coolest." You will say

"Life's road"

Life is a long hard road
And I'm not ready to face it
At 16, I?m not ready to let go of my childhood fears
Life used to be so easy, yet now it seems so difficult
Life isn't ready to face me, nor will I be ready to face life
I want to go back to 8, when I was so trusting and unafraid
Of what lies ahead
But life's a long hard road, and only the toughest survive
Wishing I was 12, with no regrets of the past and no worries for the future
But the clock's still ticking
Another sunset, more beautiful than the last
But I have to grow up sometime
Just not right now

Some of my thoughts on each piece smile.gif

"Memories"
Really nice content. It is always nice to remember what has been

The poem needs work to read smoother though. It reads more like a
paragraph than a poem, I think.

"Oh Sister, Oh Sister"

This is fun to read. Personally, I'd try to match the stanzas a little
better for pattern and/or length. but maybe that's just me. As I said
though, it's definately fun to read smile.gif

"Life's Road"

The best of the three, by far smile.gif You and I do share at least one thing.
We enjoy reaching into the past, and remembering what has been. Think
I'll give this one a second read here smile.gif

/me re-reads

yup. there are times I just want to stop the clock and be able to truely
enjoy life smile.gif I really like this piece smile.gif

I saw what I percieved as some rough edges in each one, but a) that's to be expected cool.gif I'd be missing the point of it all if I worried about everything 'I'd do different'

Where I see a rough edge, someone else may see another point from which to shine smile.gif

Keep that pen moving! smile.gif
