Scotland is well known as the home of golf and curling, but I think that Shinty is probably much less well known. Shinty is like hockey, but much more lethal!

Thankfully, it is still an amateur sport and this makes it much more enjoyable for the spectators - no great publicity - except amongst true fans.

I noticed in the photographs from the Shinty website, that most were not wearing helments or face masks. These guys are fearless. cool.gif
