I just wanted to post a bit of information in relation to the current economic crisis, the recession and the future of Celtic Radio.

As the message states, we are not going anywhere! Because we have strived to build our technologies using sound financial judgement, not splurging on hiring programmers, graphic designers and building an unstainable web site model - we are in pretty good shape.

We have invested in our own servers, hardware, databases and facilities. While we might have the occasional down-time, it is a rare event.

Between our Celtic Radio Founder accounts, Google advertising, store sales and our donation packages we seem to be doing just fine mantaining all of the services we offer. Although our store sales this year took a huge hit - probably about 90% less then last year!

We have cut back on some under-utilized services, but for the most part the health of Celtic Radio is excellent!

In these uncertain times, I want everyone to know that Celtic Radio remains a steady and healthy operation that will continue to provide you with music, enjoyment and friendship in times of trouble.

Thats the update and as always, thanks for everybody's support of this site and broadcast through the years!

Thanks Paul for the great and hard work you put in for us to enjoy...

And I encourage all those that are not part of the Founders Club yet to join in as a show of support to this great music walkman.gif site so that we will be able to enjoy it for many years to come.... thumbs_up.gif

Thanks very much Paul for the status! And yes, in these uncertain times, joining the Founders Club and contributing financially to this operation, whether it's in a big wau or small, is more important than ever. I'm considering dropping an additional $10 in the pot as a straight out donation in this regard.

LP Vinyl Enthusiast - It really needs to be in LP vinyl format for me to most certainly get it. ^^
