Is this band still around?

Their website is down.

I find no schedule on their myspace page, which doesn't appear to have anything recent on it.

I'm on their mailing list but haven't heard from them since the beginning of the year, when Shelley left and Kelsey joined.

Their domain name, greenwichmeantime.ca is no longer registered. Not a good sign.

Also, it appears as if Shelley had been the one maintaining the Glengarry Bhoys MySpace page. The page was set up 4/22/2005 and last login was April 2007. Band info still shows the lineup when she was a member.
In both cases, she may have been the person who maintained the MySpace page, and both have stagnated since she departed.

I have two modes: wiseass and dumbass. Mode is determined by current blood alcohol level.

Drinking is a sport. In order to be competitive, you must practice on a regular basis. Although you can practice alone, it is much more fun to practice with friends. If you're out of shape and practice too hard, you will regret it the next day.

Life is a disease. It is sexually transmitted and always terminal.

I believe Shelley called it quits to run the family business. Not sure what that business is. You may be able to get more info on Shelley and GMT from Bill Reid. He runs East of the Hebrides Productions ( http://www.eohebrides.com/ ) and Shelley vacations at his house on a regular basis. There's a contact section on Bill's web page.

If I run into Bill at one of the local fests, I'll ask him what the scoop is.

Thats one of the sad parts of this business. There is just not enough money in it sometimes to keep a good group going. I really liked the concept of Greenwich Meantime and also the Glengarry Boyz.

In the end though, we all have to pay the bills. Hopefully they have not completely disappeared from the scene!

We will of course, keep playing their music! walkman.gif

Alas. I could have talked to him just over a week ago. He was at the Bethlehem festival.

Nooooooo! I saw them live this summer in Hartford. Thought they were great and bought their CD "Proof".
After seeing them I was inspired and they are the reason why I started looking into the Celtic Rock scene. Now I'm hooked and now a member here. Hope they are still together and making music.

Even if they aren't together anymore, the good news is that you'll find plenty of other good bands here.

Unfortunately, they have decided not to play.

We recently shared the stage with them in New York and Pennsylvania, but were not able to play with them in Williamsburg, VA a couple weeks ago due to their stoppage.

The music goes on, but the personalities will be sorely missed on the road. I'm sure that I share those sentiments with a number of other musicians and bands.
