Hmmm...I was wondering the same thing - both my construction and research screens were blank too. I can't believe all the research is done already, but it's nice to know that's why. Guess I'll have to start building a kick-a$$ army now, eh?? Hee hee...smile.gif

It's not like we get to research more "modern" technology like gunpowder , cannons, handgonnes, and the like.

So...once the research is done, build that darn army and don't forget the siege weapons!

A suggestion for Buildings to add to the game would be "City Walls"? smile.gif Masonry could be the Research. Not too advanced, etc. Once you have Masonry, you can build castle walls.

I don't know, though. It'd take some thought to implement them properly.

For example, in medieval combat, generally an army would concentrate their attack on one section of city wall, and either breach the walls in one spot, or else use some form of ladder/tower to scale the walls in one spot. So how would you reflect that in the programming? You don't have to destroy ALL city walls before you can attack anything else. Anyway, it's a thought. smile.gif

No Lady Harlot,

City Walls is what at the time surrounded villages within a baron or earl's kingdom.

What is attached to the "guard towers" are called "curtain walls".

You might want to read this bit about the history of fortress and how it was built in different eras.

Nice link, My Lady......even for an old SCAdian such as myself smile.gif

Being a siege engineer and combat archer in the SCA, it's always nice to see just what things were like in the medieval era that we do our best to re-inact!
