| Hello all, I've been listening for some time, but finally joined. I'm a Southern CA resident & from Scottish heritage. I'm looking forward to meeting, & discussing with many of Celtic Radio members. Some of my favorite song here are: Flogging Molly - The Rare Ould Times Ceann - The Worst Pirate Song Clann An Drumma - Ravens Bad Haggis - Walking The Plank Alex Beaton - Massacre of Glencoe Olde Dun Cow I also enjoy this celtic related films: Braveheart Lord of the Rings (Trilogy) Celtic Related Books: Wheel of time (Series) - Robert Jordon Lord of the Rings (Trilogy) - JRR Tolkien Ship of Fools - Sebastian Brant Poetry of Robert Burnes (Though I have difficulty understanding much of it. Gotta learn Scotts) Artistically speaking: Celtic Knots Albrect Durer Heraldry Castles (architecture) Illumination (Book of Cells, Bible, etc.) Um.. Yeah. Hello everybody! |

| Hey, Thanks everybody, you are too kind. SisterKnight: I dabble with celtic knots both manually & using software (both are difficult). I find the methods suggested by George Bain in his book "Celtic Art the methods of construction" to be a good base to create knots in my drawing software. I oft vary between the look of hand drawn knots & the clarity created in software. Thanks again everybody. |
