Helo Austaff, Michael. Mae fy nheulu wedi gwylio gemau pl-droed Cwpan y Byd. (Cawn ni gwylio rhai ohonyn nhw ar y teledu.) Caf i gipolwg o dro i dro. Dywedodd fy merch yn Llundain bod rhai cefnogwyr mynd dros ben llestri. Maen nhw'n hurt oherwydd eu bod yn rhoi enw drwg wrth eu pobl.

Hi Austaff, Michael. My family has been watching World Cup football games. (We can watch some of them on TV.) I have a look now and then. My daughter in London said some fans get out of control. They are foolish since they give a bad name to their people.

Nag ydw Austaff, dydw i ddim yn hoffi pel-droed neu chwaraeon yn fawr. Fydda'n edrych ar Tennis yn weithiau. Hapus iawn roeddwn i pan enillodd Rafael Nadal y French Open. Mae e'n chwarae yn frwdfrydig gyda yn fwy bwrdfrydedd na dau chwaraewyr.

Hi Gwenynen

Rwyt ti cywir, ychydig gefnogwyr maen nhw allan o reolaeth. Alcohol prif achos.

Y cwestion; maen nhw y gefnogwyr neu dwpsod?

---------------------------------------

Ho Gwenynen

You are correct, some supports they are out of control. Alcohol is the main cause.

The question; are they the real supporters or idiots?

Gobeithio ti'n teimlo yn well nawr Siarls. Dim llawer i ddweud neu newyddion ffres yma. Allet ti ddweud dy gyfeillion ar Geiriadur.net (Prifysgol Cymru Llambed) fy mod yn defnyddio'r wefan honno yn fwy na'r BBC nawr. Dw i'n ei gwerthfawrogi yn fwy hefyd. Diolch iddyn nhw am eu cyweithiau.

Hopefully you're feeling better now Siarls. Not alot to say or fresh news here. You can tell your friends at Geiriadur.net (U.of Wales Lampeter) that I use that site more than the BBC now. I appreciate it more too. Thanks to them for their collective efforts.

Any of these are fine:

Mae mynyddoedd a thraethau hardd gyda ni.
Mae gyda ni fynyddoedd a thraethau hardd.

And this one which is quite formal:
Mae gennym fynyddoedd a thraethau hardd.

As a learner I need to be padantic about my Welsh spelling.

Please advise me as to the correct Welsh spelling for beaches. is it as above "thraethau" or is it as I have been taught "traethau"?

Mihangel

You are correc it is traethau but as I used the short form of and ie a instead of ac it causes a mutation on the letters TCP therefore traethau becomes thraethau after the a.

Diolch Sairls that helps was the short form gawn ni incorrect?
