Who's got laughable stories relating to children in their family?

Mine happened just this spring. My sister and her family were living with us while they were looking for a new house. They'd gotten an offer for their old one that was too good to pass up, and they hadn't found their new one yet.

Anyway, on Easter Sunday, my three year old nephew came up into my room, climbed up on my bed, and proceeded to wake Yours Truly up by poking my cheek.

I don't mean to be inappropriate but I can't leave anything out without taking away from the humor. This was a funny story in my family for a couple weeks...
My three year old cousin, Hunter, was being his cute self when my much older cousin, Richard - we've all called him Dick since we were little kids (he has two kids of his own), pointed and said "You're a Hunter". Without missing a beat Hunter turned and pointed at Dick and said "You're a ____" Well you can fill in the rest. No one could it explain to the poor kid why he shouldn't say that, but Richard couldn't stop laughing.

Our eldest was three years old, it was Christmas Eve/Christmas (3:00am to be precise!), and she climbed into bed with us and told us she couldn't sleep. We were trying to convince her that she really needed to be asleep before Santa would come, but to no avail. Poor child was just too excited. Well, after many minutes of trying to calm her down, she suddenly sat bolt upright, staring out our window through the trees towards Salem harbor. There's a power plant there that we can just see the flashing lights of (if you're really looking for them). Now, at night those lights are red . She saw a flashing red light up in the sky and shouted "Rudolf!! Santa coming!!" *Zing*, quick as a flash she's racing back to bed and snoring loudly so Santa would think she was asleep! laugh.gif laugh.gif

We still haven't enlightened her about that night, though I'm sure she's figured it out and just refuses to ask (she's 11 ). Why mess with the person that brings you goodies? wink.gif

We had a customer in one day (black lady) and there was a small little girl who looked at this customer and said " did your mommy keep you in her tummy too long?"

None of us knew what to say except smile...

kids are so honest...

Art Linklinter did a great job of the origional show but Bill Cosby did a great show too.

Here's one of mine......

I've been a single parent since my daughter was only three months old. So all of the many, many tasks fell to me to do. When Mandy was around five years old I took her to a hairdresser to get her hair cut. This was always a big event for my daughter and she often talked non-stop.
I was holding my Mandy in my arms afterwards, while I was paying the woman who cut her hair. And Mandy was still asking this lady all kinds of questions. If she was married....If she had any children.....that sort of thing. Just as I was about to walk away Mandy asked the lady if she had a business card. As soon as Mandy got it she handed it to me and very loudly said....."Here you go dad, I got her name and her number too!!"
