Glad to hear you are doing so well with your resolutions. I actually have been keeping mine also. I have been using the treadmill 3x's a week and am going to Tai Chi 2x's a week. I am trying not to be here so much but I start having withdrawls, and wondering how everyone is doing.

Keep up the great job

P.S Way to go Rose, how the heck did you lose so much so quick?

I guess, even though it is so late in the season. I have to work up on another resolution! I am taking a trip to New Mexico in 2006 with the Boy Scouts of America, a Philmont trek of 50 miles in the hills. I have to loose 40 pounds and gain some good muscle by than...I hope I can do it!!!!

My new years resolution is to use as many four lettered words as possible this year. For example:

Ya'll
hi-ya
nope
sure

I'm glad that so many of you are doing well with your diets. Keep it up and ya'll be fit as a fiddle! biggrin.gif I find that lots of water is the key to losing weight. It really helped me to shed those few extra lbs, and it is really good for you. I drink 64 ounces a day. There's one drawback, it makes you gotta' go to the nearest potty!:D Good Luck to ya'll! biggrin.gif

Another thing I started doing again was eating a bowl of cereal for breakfast. At least it'll stop me from getting a couple of Boston Kremes to go with my coffee at Dunkin' Donuts biggrin.gif .

My favorites:

Post Selects Banana Nut Crunch
Corn Flakes (you gotta eat that right away!)
Cheerios (preferably Honey Nut)
Kellogg's Raisin Bran (Post's raisins are too small)
Life (DON'T SAY IT!)
Rice Krispies
Corn Chex

Gee! Mary! I should be losing more actually. I was kind of bad the two weeks of the Holiday season and that set me back. I am on a low GI (glycemic index) diet that includes high fiber, low fat, low sugar, complex carbs. However for the last two weeks I have been stuck at 10 lbs and I should be losing 1 pound a week! sad.gif But then I am not exercising, so that could be my problem.

Glad to hear others are doing so well!

Mike! I started eating cereal for breakfast too.

I thought I would bump this up and see how everybody has been doing with their New Year's Resolutions so far. Mine was to lose weight, read more, pay off some bills.

So far I have:

1. lost 20 lbs.
2. Read 6 books (which is a lot for me)
3. Paid off all our medical bills as of today!

I need to get back in the groove of riding the exercise bike regularly. I guess part of me is waiting for the temps to go back up so I can go walking at night. I prefer that to the bike.

Way to go celticrose... you can tell by your posts that things are really going well. I am so happy for you!
I don't remember what my resolutions were oh "May be to remember?" No I have been losing some weight I am going to martial arts 2x a week and treadmilling 4 days a week SOMETHING should be happening. Mentally I am connecting with my body more not just thinking with the brain. Not sure if that makes sense, oh there I go with the brain. tell the fingers to stop...

Hey Rindy and Mike!

Sounds like you both are doing well.

Mike reminded me of one that I forgot and that was to exercise more. That I have NOT done so well on. But I seem to have come to a stopping point on my weight loss and the only way around that is going to be exericse. I usually use my recumbant bike and strength training.

I have never done Tai chi. Used to do yoga though. I would love to do martial arts! wow!

Not me...I never made any this time. I used to do so for quite a while; in the meantime I try to face and solve those things during the whole year. whenever I think I had to...works much better for me; it is much less frustrating...There is a right time for everything.
