For centuries the aboriginal folk of Scotland have been refered to as "Picts" the tattooed people. This is in my opinion a derogatry title, they should be called Albans or Caledonians. The land of Briton was once called Albion for the southern part and Alba for the north. The Albans were a mighty race as is evident by their meagre remains such as carved standing stones , jewelry discovered at Traprain Law and their forts-such as Burghead,Dun Padraig at Inverness, Dun Add in Argyllshire and others.I think that they were a magical folk whose secrets we still have to uncover.

Slainte.
