If all the wealth in the world were distributed equally, would we all be poor? I think so.

Possibly not, if you are not just counting personal fortunes, but also corporate money and untapped natural resources. The scale of what it takes to live well in different parts of the world is so wide ranging too, it's not an easy computation to make.

How long do you think it would remain equally distributed?

Well, if you can assume people would agree to be magnanimous enough to distribute wealth equally in the first place, then its likely they'd want that choice to remain in place for a good while, if not indefinitely, otherwise why do it?

I heard a story once that Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman once wrote a letter to president Johnson laying out a plan for the redistribution of wealth back in those crazy 60's, but of course it was summarily ignored. I tried to find something about it on Google to no avail. Just may be a good reason for that Antwn.......well, its a FUN rumor anyway.
