May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Listening to highlander radio, catching up on the forums, watching hgtv and considering a nap.

This is the first day of vacation. WOOHOO !!!! Haven't really done anything yet. Was up at 1:30 this morning, with 2 scared dogs, during a major thunderstorm. Never really got back to sleep. Went out earlier to check out the damage from the storm. The pools solar cover and the floaties were scattered over the yard. One tomato plant and it's cage were laying on the ground and one cardinal flower was broken off ground level. Wish it would just rain without all of the drama.
Spent the morning making poppers (homegrown bananna peppers filled with cream cheese mixed with chipotle chilis in adobo sauce, then wrapped in bacon) and putting a whole bunch of chicken to marinate in my home-made jerk sauce for grilling tomorrow. I'm now getting ready to dress out and tune up to pipe a formal black tie Irish wedding this afternoon at the tea garden at the Vinoy, then off to pipe my friend Brendan's birthday-cum-kilt night at our local Irish pub. May not be as financially rewarding as the first gig, but should be a whole lot more fun!
Emmet, sounds like fun! I have had those chile peppers like you make. I live in the southwest afterall. Really good, huh?
Valpal! Are you going anywhere on your vacation? I have one dog who hates thunderstorms too. I have to put her in her crate when they come in. Otherwise, she is uncontrollable.
Well I am playing catch up again and listening to Highlander radio.
