*pictures the shapeshifter going door to door in nothing but a mail bag and a jester's hat* Yeah, that would be a shock, alright. And something I would totally not put past you. Think of the children.

"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."
-Alexander Maclean Sinclair of Goshen (protector of Gaelic Culture)
The jester laughs. "It's too cold for that right now, anyway. I was thinking of delivering as an illusion of a Troll, or maybe a Unicorn, though that would leave a hole in each note."
You can loop a string around each letter, that way there will be no hole. And thanks for the delivery offer, but sending isn't too hard of a job for a witch... How do you think Santa gets his mail?
The jester smiles and says: "I just wanted to help. You KNOW I will help any way I can. In fact, here is an early wedding present." He hands the witch a palm sized golden scale, pierced and strung on a gold chain. "Call and I will come, whatever your need".
Danann stares at the scale and then looks up to the Jester. You warm my heart dear friend. I thank you for this and will wear it always. You are a credit to your good name.
The Pub's door opens, and a gentle breeze drifts in with the scent of fallen leaves. A woman in a dark blue cloak enters, walks over to the bar, and smiles at Hamm. "Did you have a good Thanksgiving, Hamm?" He nods, and she asks for her favorite drink. She is grateful for the quiet pub, a refuge from the bustle of recent days, but would welcome a gentle conversation. She sits down by the fire, and waits to see who else will seek this haven.

'Hope guides me. It is what gets me through the day, and especially the night.' -- A Knight's Tale "I talk to you as I talk to my own soul...and, Sassenach,” he whispered, “your face is my heart.” -- Jamie Fraser, "Dragonfly In Amber" by Diana Gabaldon @Dremnghrt on Twitter, Dreamnghrt on tumblr - come say Hi!
Thank you, what brings such a lovely lady to our backend of the woods? We always welcome new friends here. You will find most folk here very friendly and peacefull. Even folks who overindulge are escorted safely to their own door. Hamm makes the best ale for many leagues around and his wife runs a clean kitchen that produces excellent fare.
"I agree! Hamm and his wife are truly gifted. They understand what each soul needs very well, and often fulfill those needs before the recipient becomes aware of it. I'm only sorry I haven't had more opportunities to visit here." She sips her drink, and smiles as he patiently waits. " As for my visit tonight, well it's been a very busy time of late. I found that I needed to withdraw from that bustle for a while, and my thoughts brought me here. Now, dear Sir, what of you? What brings you to this refuge?"
The jester smiles sadly "loneliness and companionship draw me here, milady". There are not many of my sort left on this plane. I remain as a friend and protector. This quiet village suits me well as a place of residence and enjoyable conversation. I leave on business on occasion, but I am always drawn back here.
