Thanks Irish Stepper - now a days you can get your tat in such vibrant colors and anything is really possible with a good artist. My Mom got a tattoo at 60 years old...of Kermit the Frog no less. I saw some other really nice Amy Brown tats...think it was Shadodnsr - hers are also really well done...just check into an artist before you get the tattoo done...as they say: buyer beware...

I don't know if I'd ever get a tattoo. My interests change from day to day and it would be difficult to get a tattoo that I'd like for more than a short time. I'll just settle for admiring everyone else's. wink.gif

Amy, that is a cool tattoo. Moon Child, actually no it didn't hurt. I was prepared for "PAIN", but it never happened. More like an irritation. I was almost asleep by the time he finished. I am in the major itching stage now. Long hair is nice. Swing your hair and it soothes the itch. Everyone laughs at me, but it feels so good. biggrin.gif

I agree with valpal 59...I was prepared for unbelievable pain...and really the only time mine began to hurt was when he was coloring in the tips of her wings which wrap around to the top/middle of my calf. Besides, I then reasoned - if I can give birth to 4 children & the 2 oldest have made it to their teens...I can handle a simple tattoo!! I'm glad this was started, I love seeing other tats - someone else mentioned that it is addicting and a great way to express yourself too...
