I ran across a thread like this on another board I used to frequent on a regular basis.

I'd like to start a thank you thread. As corny as that sounds. I'd like to take this time to thank a few people and I encourage others to do the same.

First of all, I'd like to thank MacFive for the site. Without his evil genius none of us would have been here. thumbs_up.gif beer_mug.gif Thank you very much. This site has been more of a boon to myself(and others I'm sure) than you could possibly know. Not just the music and the knowledge...but so many many MANY other things. Thank you.

To wizardofowls for being the first one to warmly welcome me to Celtic and to
A Shrule Egan for being the first person to talk to me all in the first night. You two truly made me feel welcome and want to stay. Thank you

Peckery(whereever he is) for hours of laughter that seemed to always come at the most appropriate times.

Maisky. We dont speak and I dont agree with your political views too much but you always give me food for thought. Thank you for that.

Herrerano. Another gentleman that I dont speak with much but someone that has always had some very interesting posts that I have enjoyed.

Annabelle. I remember the first night I was on. You werent here but someone made a comment that made you sound like ..... well...someone that I should steer clear of at all costs. Glad they were wrong. Its been a true pleasure. Thank you for being you.

Celticrose. For your beautiful and insightful words and the wonderful photos that you share with us all. You bring much beauty to this place by just being here. The photos are just a plus:P

Elspeth for encouraging me to pry open the rusty door to my soul when I first arrived and share my feelings and experiences with everyone. It has been a truly wonderful and healing experience that ,I dont think, would have happened had you not ecouraged me. Also , thank you for you kind words and for worrying about me when I was in my darkest place. *hugs* means more than you know.

Aaediwen. A fellow wordsmith and traveler on the roads of life. I thank you for your feedback, your appreacition, and for being here and being you.

Susieq76 and Irishstepper for being addicted to my crack tongue.gif And for the words of support and encouragement. Always good to know your work is appreciated. Even better when you know its appreciated by such wonderful souls.

Gaberlunzie,Annham,Gtrplr, 3ravens and the others that reached out as soon as it looked like I was entering a very dark place. Whether it was emails, Pm's (one or a million) it helped me to come out of what I was in. Though the situation hasnt changed much, my attitude(and outlook) has improved greatly and its because of the kindness and concern shown to me. *great big bear hugs* Thank you are words that will have to suffice though those words are woefully inadequate to describe anything I feel.

Tassiecelt and Shadows for giving a traveler and a seeker of spiritual knowledge food for thought on both ends of the spectrum. Praise be for the both of you being on this site.

Avonlea22 for ...well..for being close to where I was recently and messeging me. for just being you and being a friend to a relative stranger. Thank you ,Brian.

celticwoodsman,Sekhmet and all the other new comers that I have had the joy and privilege of speaking with. Thank you for coming and sharing on this site and I hope to see you around for some time to come. The site is enriched by you being here and would be darker if you left..

Lastly, but not least. TheCarolinaScotsman. You didnt think I was going to forget you did ya , Bill? wink.gif I wont go into too much detail here but Bill pulled my arse out of the fire emotionally speaking. This hard headed, stubborn guy wouldnt let up and didnt lose faith in me. Truly, his friendship has been one of the greatest belssings in my short life. His friendship and unwaivering kindness are things that I will never be able to repay and , to him, I will remain indebted for years to come. Bill, my friend, my brother, from the bottom of this black heart, I thank you for existing and for showing me the way out fo the dark place that we've both been in before. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!

I am a staunch believer in freewill and the ability for us to shape our own destinies. But I also believe that there are certain things that happen for a reason and certain people you meet for a reason. Wehther you choose to acknowledge that or not is your decision.
I believe there was a reason that I found celtic when I did and stayed. I do know that the friendship and comradery on this site helped me get through one fo the toughest summers of my short life. And, for that, for the site, for the members, for every post, every story, every pic, every pm, every smiley, I am thankful.
We use the terms brother and sister here quite often. And, Now more than ever, I believe they fit so very well to describe the extened family I feel I have here on Celtic.
I know I have missed so many people, please dont be upset if I did. I'm sure I will come back later and add but I 've up far too long and my short term memory is about 2 seconds long.

if I have posted this in the wrong place, my apologies. Feel free to move it
Thank you all
praise be
Blessed be
Peace be with you all

Urian Shokar Lightbringer

Thank you urian. You were the first to personaly congratulate me when I had my posts reached 200 hundred and I got my crown. It was really nice getting a personal email saying congrats.

Thank you Macfive. This place is amazing. I have learned so much and enjoyed so many different things.

I'll think of some more later!

Thank you everyone who has been sending me emails and messages to help me stay sane when I am doing my best to stress out.

Thanks to Old Raven for all the messages, Barddas for the music advice, Anabelle for the ELOPING advice a day late and a dollar short (kidding) Maisky and tsargent for some good laughs and fun talkings, CaroliniaScotsman for wanting to woo me away so we can go four wheeling... nice to still be loved! Urian, thanks for your comment on my stress out thread when I was up all night with Mrs. Field's cookies.... Everyone on here who's been so wonderful and patient with me for not spending near enough time on the Gaelic forum... I will do better as soon as the insanity ends. The rubber room is quite nice this time of year...

A Big thanks to everyone for keeping it real!

Yer such a sweetie, Urian.

I too worried about you and hoped that things would swing back to livable to you, but didn't post merely because by that point you wouldn't be able to pick me out of a lineup, let alone take anything I said as comfort. I am very, very glad you stayed.

I want to thank every single last person on this forum that I've had the pleasure of talking with both in the chats and on the boards. I love this place, I love you guys, and I'm so very glad I got accepted into this big, far-flung family.

Uuhhh... I'm speechless. Urian, you called this an extended family and that's what it is. We all try to look out for each other.

I would try to thank people, but I'd probably leave out over half the folks here and that wouldn't do. Just let me say to everyone that ya'll have become an important part of my life and I thank all of ya for being there.

I guess my turn now smile.gif I'll probably miss several, but here goes for some benchmarks:

First thanks to the great and wonderful MacFive, without whom this site would never have existed for me to discover, and who has become such a dear friend. Without CRN and Paul, I'd probably still be out there looking for a good Celtic Radio station and would not be as close as I feel I am to living my dream.

To Annabelle, Richard Bearcoat, and Elspeth who introduced me to how friendly the CelticRadio.net community really was

to CelticRose for being there when I needed a shoulder to cry on

To OldRaven for the beautiful pics, automotive advice, conversation, and insight

To Angel Whitefang and Shadows for help better understanding the truth behind your beliefs

To all those who have provided some of the most honest feedback I've ever had on my writing

To all of those, both listed and not, whom I've had the pleasure of exchanging chat, PM, or forum posts with. CelticRadio.net plays host to one of the friendliest groups of people I've ever known

Thanks Urian...you are such a sweet person. Just keep feeding my habit and we'll be alright! wink.gif tongue.gif

I'm not even going to try to thank everyone by name. This is such a great site and filled with friendly people who easily become an extended family. Of course, like a family, you always have those who like to stir things up (maisky tongue.gif ), but we stick together like glue. Thanks to everyone who is so caring. This is the best site ever, and definitely my favorite hide-out. king.gif

Me next! Me next!

Urian, this is a marvelous idea. Thanks for sharing it. Thanks for all your stories. I love to read them. They make me think deeper thoughts than those of everyday life.

WizardofOwls, thanks for being willing to answer all my questions concerning things spiritual. If I need help with something and can't figure it out, you are one of the ones I go to.

Tassiecelt, thanks for sharing your thoughts and questions. You are always an encouragement to me. God bless you.

Cailiosa, I like reading your posts. Everytime I readone, I find yet another aspect of life that we have in common, e.g. books, music, movies. It's nice to know I'm not the only one like me. huh.gif

And a special thank you to Macfive, Annabelle, and Elspeth. Don't know where this site would be without people like you.
