Celtic Radio Community > Fun N Games > The Last

Posted by: pflanary 04-May-2007, 10:00 AM
I just made this game up but I think it could be fun. The first person asks a question including the words "the last". The next person answers and poses a new question.

Sample questions:
When was the last time you...
Who was the last person you. . . (keep it clean, please.)
What was the last book you read, movie you watched, food you ate, etc?
Where was the last. . .

I'll start.

Sorry... If it could be more right, I would say what is the last gift you had offered to someone?

Posted by: Antonio 20-Sep-2007, 10:21 PM
I would call it a gift I guess, I took my 18 year old Granddaughter to see " Gone With The Wind " on the big screen. Last Sunday at the grand opening of the Grand Theater, it had opened in 1923 and closed down in 1977. It's now a Preforming Arts Theater, and Learning Center. But the excitement of seeing that movie on the big screen, and she loved it.

When was the last time you saw a classic movie, on the big screen? and what was it?.

Posted by: Gwynhwyvar 21-Sep-2007, 07:59 PM
Antonio - there is nothing like seeing "Gone With The Wind" on a BIG screen - especially when it is in Atlanta where it premiered! Too bad the Lowes Grand (the theatre it made its premier) is no longer standing here in Atlanta, but I have seen it several times at the Fox Theatre. The Fox was built back in the 1920's and is a gorgeous theatre - lots of Moorish themed decor. We almost lost the Fox about 30 years ago to "corporate interests". Of course our favorite line in the movie here in Atlanta is when Aunt Pittypat says "Yankees! How did they ever get into Atlanta?" That always gets a huge round of applause. Anyway, the last classic movie I saw on a big screen was "Gone With The Wind" at the Fox!

When is the last time you went to a symphony orchestra concert?

Posted by: Antonio 22-Sep-2007, 10:39 PM
I'm certainly happy those corporate bad guys didn't win, to many great and historical building gone to them.

The last symphony I went to was way back around 1967-68, We had gone to San Francisco to compete with other high school choirs. They had a symphony orchestra there and we were able to stay for the performance.

When was the last time you sang in public?.

Posted by: Gwynhwyvar 23-Sep-2007, 06:27 AM
Yesterday - with my two best friends from college. The occasion was the memorial/burial service of one of my best friends mother. We three were both music majors and voice students. Well, despite the fact that we don't get to see each other as much as we would like to (different states) we still sound great together - even if I do say so myself!

When was the last time you thought even just for a second that life is really too much unfair...?

Posted by: haynes9 25-Sep-2007, 07:12 AM
To be honest, those thoughts do pop through my mind upon occasion. Of course, once I really put some thought to it and realize how blessed I am, I dismiss that kind of thinking. Some things cannot be avoided, but life is really about choices. For the most part, I've made the choices that have made life work well for me.

Whens' the last time you did something really special for your spouse/significant other?

Where was the last place you went? that cost allot of money, but you were disappointed because it was not worth it.

Posted by: Lady of Avalon 25-Sep-2007, 03:35 PM
If a concert is accepted for a place I'd say about 12 or 14 years ago when my husband bought tickets to go see Kenny Rogers who came in Montreal, I was more than dissapointed, I was in a rage because that "fake" of an artist, showed up his face an hour late and on top of that he performed for what...not even a half an hour and he was gone. The show that we had that night was the movie he played in I think it was The gambler and that was it. Let me just say a LOT of people were booing him.

I made it a for a soup dinner we had after church one Sunday back in January. Mine was not the only soup. Most everyone at my church know that I will cook just about anything. I have made it since for my family - it's great with Jalapeno cornbread! eat.gif They love it.

when was the last time you really put your foot in it

Posted by: Antonio 29-Sep-2007, 12:34 PM
Just about every time I open it, I stick my foot in it. And about 2/3's of the time it's both feet. But the last time I put my foot in it was, about a week ago. One of the drivers called me on the radio and said he was sick and wanted to park his truck and go home. I told him I was tired of his being sick every other day and that he needed to man up do his job or go away. unfortunately we have two drivers with the same first name and the same first letter in their last names. When you look at the screen on the radio, it shows the name of the person your talking to. I was talking to ( will call them Bob K. 1 and Bob K. 2 it's like that on the radio screen ) Bob K. 2 who is a great employee. It took me three days, to get all the shoe polish off my lips. Also I felt so bad when I realized whom I was talking to, I sent him home. Three years and that was the first time he'd ever asked to go home sick. I took Bob K. 2 to lunch a couple of days later at the Olive Garden but I still feel bad about it. Also Bob K.1 quit yesterday.

What was the subject of your last conflict with someone?

Posted by: pflanary 05-Oct-2007, 07:49 AM
I do my best to avoid conflict so its hard to say. I regularly feel conflicted with my boss, but he's in another office in another town--not to mention that I scared of him and don't have the nerve to speak up to him (not that it would do any good if I did since he firmly believes that he's always right).

What was the last thing you said and who did you speak to?

Posted by: haynes9 05-Oct-2007, 05:48 PM
Unique question!

I said, "Here's your butterfly picture, Keturah." to my 11 year old daughter. She wanted to know the name of a blue butterfly.

Thankfully, we found someone with a slim jim.

It's been a while. Not because I'm always right, I'm just pretty quick to acknowledge when I'm wrong (which happens more than I care to admit!). I believe I was telling the wife that a certain item was not located where she said it was and, of course, I was wrong!

What is the last memory (good one) you have about a loved one before they passed away? I've got some great ones on my dad.

Posted by: Antonio 08-Oct-2007, 11:05 PM
One of and my favorite memory's of my Dad was a few years before his death I took him home. He had not been back home to West Virginia, in over fifty years. I had one of the best times of my life, on that road trip with him. Three weeks on the road with him, and I felt closer to him than I had in my life. Sad to say that we were never very close, but on that trip we became friends. When he died I counted him as not just my Dad, but one of my closest friends and I miss him dearly now.

The last good news I had was from the husband telling me that we were to remodel the bedroom on our vacation and that we'd buy a new bedroom set.
I just could not believe it because we were suppose to do it about 5 years ago and always put it on ice for something else. Now it's done and very happy with the results.

When was the last time you did some major renovation in your house?
