Let me share with you this web site too that has a wonderful variety of feature articles on Ireland's culture, customs, recipes, language and more. I've spent hours perusing this place...
Here's a bit from the article "Irish In Love": 'The Realm of Romance' is bigger than West Virginia and smaller than Ohio. But for such a tiny place, Ireland is a magnificent, multi-faceted gem, blessed with an abundance of details and differences. Majestic mountains sweep down to the sea. Miles of stone walls line fields filled with black-faced sheep. Tall, flowering hedges shade narrow, winding roads. Ancient castles and mystical abbeys dominate pastoral vistas. And, pastel-hued cottages dot river valleys strewn with wild flowers. What a magical place to begin a romance or married life together!"
What a wonderful description!! Mmmm, I shut my eyes and can smell the peat fires as we drive across the countryside....

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king..."
Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer "am I worth dying for?" - Eleanor Roosevelt
The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools. -- Herbert Spencer, English Philosopher (1820-1903)
Thanks for the link! I am enjoying it almost as much as I am the music that I am listening to. (Yes, its highlander radio... but its a very toe tapping song... litteraly riverdance)

Listen, I spent awhile looking around the site too and I was almost blue when I finished... it made me want to visit Ireland again sooo much. Ah well, maybe someday. When the time is right, it'll come to pass!
I love everything about the website. I haven't been to Ireland yet, but I will someday. Image all that in an area smaller that Ohio!! I think that I have Ireland built up to be bigger'n TEXAS, in my mind. Can't wait to go but till then, I'll settle for this fine website!
May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

I just had this sent to me from the owners of our local Irish gift shop. It's a monthly e-zine you can subscribe to. Not as flashy as the others shown here, but this comes right to your e-mail.
