Cum ort leis a' Ghaidhlig in here too! Don't leave us as we are learning lots from you all, if you don't mind. But can understand if you want to talk more advanced without having to translate.
Tha mi fhin gle mhath. Tha i breagha an-duigh, ach tha i teth I am very well. It is a lovely day, but it is hot.
Faileas agus Cu Dubh, cait a bheil sibh a' fuireach ann a Scotland? Faileas and Cu Dubh, where do you live in Scotland?

Tha ceist agam. De the Beurla airson Sin e agus Agus ortsa? I have a question. What is English for
I think I made a lot of mistakes. I also notice that some of you write Halo and other Hallo. Does it matter?

You've done really well here, Rose!
Sgrìobh thu: You wrote: Faileas agus Cu Dubh, cait a bheil sibh a' fuireach ann a Scotland?
Here, I would say "ann an Alba" for "in Scotland"
Sin e means That's it, or That's all. Agus ortsa means and to you too.
Either Hallo or Halo is acceptable. Both are just attempts to render the English word "Hello" in Gaelic. So really just decide which one you like best and stick with it.
To say I love Runrig, You could say "Tha gaol agam air Runrig." This roughly tranlates to "There is love at me for Runrig"
'Se do bheatha, a ghràidh! You're welcome dear!

Well I totally messed up that post Can we edit here Wizard? Apart from the fact that i messed up the quotes i also spelled Lanarkshire wrong. It's too early for me....i think i need a beer
Sorry I have been absent lately! I have been at a state bowling tournament. Not sure if I will ever recover!
Speaking of bowling I have a little favor to ask all of you. My team has agreed to get new shirts next year and that, provided I translate it, we can put a gaelic phrase or saying on the back. I'm not sure if we are going to need a new sponsor next year or not so I'm just gathering anything that strikes my fancy! I would appreciate any input you could give! BTW, it can't be too vulgar! A little risque perhaps but nothing outright profane!! (One of the ladies has already said she doesn't trust me so I have to translate it and she will probably look it up anyway to make sure I was truthful!!) I would have written that in Gaelic but I would still be here next year trying to figure out how!
I have to take my daughter to school now, so I'll be back to write more later!!
Mar sin leibh an dràsda!

Tha mi glè mhath tapadh leat, ciamar a tha thu fhèin an-diugh? Fine thanks, How are you today?
Sorry, don't think i can be of much help comming up with a bowling slogan. Maybe others here would give you better feedback on this one. You could always use 'Pog mo thòin' on your shirts i suppose.
Tha mise sgith cuideachd - I am tired as well. Cha robh mi a ' cadail cho math an oidhche sa chaidh - I didn't sleep too well last night. Ach tha mi gu sunndach - but i am happy :-).
He, Rois, de mu dheidhin - naoi le aon bala - nine with one ball? Or is it too profane
Bha e brèagha an-de cho bha mi ag obair anns an gàrradh!
A-nis tha mi glè sgith, a-rithist!
Cù- it doesn't necessarily have to be about bowling. Just something catchy and funny! De the Beurla airson 'Pog mo thòin'? I can't find it anywhere!
Failaes- Tha mi duilich chan robh thu a' cadail glè mhath, agus tha mi gu sunndach tha thu sin gu sunndach! (does that make sense or did I do it wrong?) I don't think that's too profane!! In fact we are always talking about 'having to get our balls'! I'll add that to my list! Mòran taing!!
Allen-It must be the weather making us all tired!! At the moment our team name is just the name of our sponsor 'Kearney Crete and Block'.(Really original, huh?) As for next year it all depends on the sponsor! Unless I can come up with something really cool!!
