I have to admit, this is 100% Celtic
I didn't buy the CD, only have vinyl
recently, I record it into computer, make it mp3/ogg
and I have a chance to listen once more
this is one of my all-time favorite

due to Gerry's Scottish/Irish heritage, it's not a surprise to make a 100% Celtic album

Before Billy Connolly became famous as a comedian and then an actor, he was part of a folk group called the Humblebums. Another Glaswegian who was a member of the group was Gerry Rafferty.

I saw them often when they performed at Folk clubs in Edinburgh and Glasgow (mostly in pubs, like the Scotia bar in Glasgow). Billy was a banjo player (but not very good, in my opinion!) and he used to tell great jokes during the break between songs....

Eventually Gerry and Billy went their separate ways, but somewhere in my attic are some of the early Humblebum records.
