Just got in from round 2 of cleaning up a few more inches of snow. This time I went with some "Great Big Sea' and "Oysterband" on the ipod. Made it easier that's for sure.
Just got up after a long evening plowing snow. Got my coffee answered some emails and so here I sit.

The Scots of course insist that the pipes produce music. But the point is after all not too important. For those who love them, the pipes can evoke more vividly than any other instrument, high emotion, they can inspire valor, and tell of tragic tales of battles long ago. They can call forth merriment or sentiment. It does not matter what the sound is called, those who are deaf to its merits would not understand anyway.
I am absolutely dreading venturing out today. I don't want my car to freeze up. My SO walked the dog & said the air is actually frozen, as thick as fog. His moustache frosted up instantly.
I want to pick up some "Bath Bombs" so I can take a lovely hot soak. It really moisturizes and leaves the house smelling brilliant. Also, some wonderful chocolate from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, as gifts for our neighbors.
Well, I'll ponder as I drink my coffee & work up my "gall" to go.
Hello All , havn't posted in a long time... Just returned my Chrismas gift from the spouse , A Blackberry, I asked for it but....Why would I need to spend an extra $40 a month to be irritated and frustrated... I can do that home on the laptop

Just now I came back with a friend from an ample walk through the vicinity. A 4 hours walk along the Danube, watching birds, blether about all the world and his brother, step into a café for having a good cup of coffee (and even better cut-up and sugared pancake with raisins with hommade prune sauce). That's the only true kind to start a New Year. Now We're sitting at home, that feet are laid up, smoking a cigar and listen CR-Music... It's so beautyful to be....
I am sitting here reading post and scrawling in my Journal and listening to Rachmaninov. I have a confession to make I don't like Celtic Music. I know I should be ashamed of myself. I love the Pipes and will walk through Hades to listen to them but I am a Classical Nut. Hellovathing for a Scot to admit.
Christmas stuff is all back in the tubs and my living room is a mess!!!! It will be somewhat like that till tomorrow when my son gets the job of takeing it to the little storeroom that we have here in the apartments (he doesn't know that yet). How in the world do they put a Christmas tree in that box when I can't even get back in and be able to close it back up???????

Just got back from the New Year Day concert "Salute to Vienna" . What a wonderful concert it is...of course must appreciate classical music especially Strauss music to enjoy such a concert...ballet dancers and 2 opera singers are guests and join in with the music every January 1st....
After the concert we headed for the restaurant and celebrated the New Year just the two of us and started planning on our next trip...(sigh) lots of things to think about.
And now just reading some post here and there and just replied to Antonio in that I missed teasing him in the Fun & Games thread and that soon I will get back to it.
InRi, your post made me so happy to read... walking along the Danube, wow - that sounds wonderful!
I'm enjoying sitting here catching up on CR. Well actually I'm sad today that our little adopted stray dog Speedy has disappeared; he was an abused dog who showed up about a year ago & we took good care of him. He was still very timid, but much more cheerful and sociable. Sunday afternoon he was gone at suppertime and we haven't seen him since. We searched for him but no luck... I miss the little guy.
