I also like them (especially the violinist) but I am totally convinced all their shows are lip synced. sad.gif I hope I am wrong but I am pretty observant and it really does look like they lip sync to everything.

Peace.........

I too enjoy the music, but I don't think for groups anyone will to Cherish the Ladies, or for solo Mary Black. What do you folks think of the male equivalent, Celtic Thunder?

What do you folks think of the male equivalent, Celtic Thunder?

I was not at all impressed with Celtic Thunder (I am impressed that the young kid in it has such a good tenor vocal range). They sound very commercial and more like a Broadway production of "I am Irish, Hear me sing the classics". They played here and I didn't even consider going to see them. I think I like my Celtic music either more punchy (toe tappin pub music) in the genre referred to as Celtic Rock, or I like it in ballads done with passion for the song. (a bit of pipes and impressive violin work helps too).

just my humble opinion...

peace

Jay

When Celtic Women first came out, I liked them and even bought the first cd. But now, not so much. I grew tired of them very quickly.
And Celtic Thunder...no.
