Happy St. Patrick's Day 2008!

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

Welcome to Celtic Radio's annual traditional St. Patrick's Day festivities! While we hope that you can get out and enjoy a pint at the pub today or catch one of the many fine parades across the country, why not keep our broadcast playing all day and keep checking this thread and our chat room for a chance to take home a CD, Tshirt or bumper sticker!

We make it simply to win:

1. Keep checking this thread for prize announcements. Be the first to respond and you win instantly!

2. Listen to our broadcast for Rebecca to announce a CD up for grabs. Be the first to send an email to the announced address and win!

3. Open up our brand new Chat room - The Lounge - and watch all day for us to make announcements on how to win a prize in our chat room - maybe even meet a few other Celtic Radio members throughout the day. Access the chat room here:

http://www.celticradio.net/php/forums/chat/flashchat.php

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day we are playing a special mix of Pub music and requests are open all day long.

Consider helping to support our site and broadcast by signing up for a Celtic Radio Founder's account. More details here:

http://www.celticradio.net/php/founder/index_founder.php

Thanks and have a great St. Patrick's Day. Hope to see you on the site tomorrow for some good Ol' Celtic Radio fun!

Top of the morning to you. My kids are in private school so all the parents are sending something GREEN to contribute to their St. Patrick's Day lunch!

We had Corned Beef, Cabbage, potatoes and carrots, dark brown Irish Soda Bread and Guinness "Draught" in bottles, and some Red Breast single malt Irish Whiskey yesterday to celebrate St. Padddy's Day with my daughter and her husband who left today for Germany. We celebrated 3 out of 4 of my kids birthdays too; yesterday was the youngest ones actual birthday the other 2 were 2 weeks ago and 2 weeks from now.

My co-workers and I will be celebrating again on Friday with a Corned Beef meal at work.

I love this time of year!

Dude, turaloora, you won a tee shirt in the chat room. That is all you are allowed to win. And since you said you already had a bumper sticker, they probably decided to give it to people who don't have one at all. Chill and let some other people have a chance to win.

I think Perkeo and CarolinaScotsman won the most recent broadcast CDs.

Ok, we have 3 last CDs to giveaway. We are going to post the names of the CDs and if 3 people could claim them and reply with the name of the CD they want. Please send us your member name, email and prize won.

Same rules, first person to claim the CD wins:

Gentle Maiden - Ivory
Frank McLaughlin and Lillian MacDonald - Out of the Wood
Steve O'Connor - Hail Caledonia

We'll leave it up to each person to determine if they won, simply by if they were first to claim. Thats it for us, we are calling it a night!

All together we gave out well over 35 prizes for the day and we broke all Celtic Radio records for listening and website visits. At one point, our site was nearly crippled with the amount of traffic but we made it through the day and provided alot of good Celtic music for St. Patrick's Day.

We had over 130 new members register just today and we hope that some of those new members stick with us throughout the year. That is a record single day registration!

Thanks for everyones patience during the contest and for making today a fun and happening day for Celtic Radio!

Our next event will be the announcing and awarding of our Celtic Music Radio Awards, but you are going to have to give us a few days to get caught up with all of the CD mailings we need to make!

Have a good night everyone! happy.gif

Let's go for Frank McLaughlin and Lillian MacDonald - Out of the Wood, please biggrin.gif

Please remember that if you won a CD on St. Patrick's Day, either in this forum, our chat room or on the broadcast you need to send us your member name, mailing address and prize won.

We still have a few CDs unclaimed.

All CD prizes, bumper stickers and shirts will be mailed out this week.

Donegal by Hair of the Dog

We are about to mail out all CDs and bumper stickers tonight, so expect them in a few days.

Tshirts will be mailed either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Paul the give aways are alway nice. But the most valuable gift that is given here on this site every day is the good music, fellowship and most important of all the friendship I have gain here on Celtic Radio. There is a bunch of great caring people here. God Bless you and yours. clap.gif cheers.gif

Gwenlee you said it best there sweet Lass. This site is beloved for the music, the friendship, and the chance to learn from friends we may never meet in person. Hey I wonder if Celtic Radio Staff would be willing to announce the plan of some here to try and get everyone to meet at the Mountain (Stone Mountain Scottish Festival in October) we could have a Celtic Radio presence that would help spread the word.

I received my cd today, as well smile.gif Frank McLaughlin and Gillian MacDonald -- the music is great, and I've discovered that I really love the sound of the Scottish small pipes, especially in conjunction with soft guitar playing. Very haunting and soothing. I hope to post a review soon. Thanks to Highlander Radio and to the artists who contributed their music!
