every time I try to get into the chat from my home PC either the link acts as if it has not been clicked. I've tried right clicking and double clicking (not to mention triple clicking, quadra clicking and the incredibly difficult and dangerous quinta click ) But I can not get in from my Home PC.
Everything else works with the only anomaly being that I have to use Win Amp to listen (but it's certainly wonderful that I can listen it makes me happy )
If I try to use the indigenious player it comes up acts like it is playing but the controls are conspicuouly absent along with the sound. It will show the play list and the last 3 played.
Any Ideas or am I forever doomed to roam on the outskirts of the chat room while in the comfort of my own home and force to make furtive forays into the room while at my day job under the merciless scrutiny of the Over Lords who own my soul by the day light hours and have no pity on me and my thirst for fellowship with others of my kind
It's all so harsh
and I'm really very chatty

Buddy. As much as I hate to admit it, Netscape is your answer. IE, no luck; Mozilla Firebird, no luck. Try Netscape and you should be fine.

We need a promper IRC chatroom. If my link were good enough, I'd host it, but as it is I'm looking for somewhere that would. I don't like using the major networks anymore. They get too picky on allowing connections.
Please go to our frontpage and select 'contact' from the drop down menu. Then write to us with your issue with the chat.
We just finished up work on a new email form that will give us information, when you send a message, about your browser, plugins and whether you have java, javascript, etc. enabled. We might be able to help you with this information.
I'm sure I could set up an IRC chat without problems.. I'm far more comfortable with it anyway. We'd just need a client on the page that will make it easy to assess for everybody.
If you want me to I will get stuck into it. I will then give admins operator and moderators voice power, and transfer the ownership of the channel to Dave or Paul.

Mikel, You may want to download and run Spybot (it's free, although donations are accepted). You may have some spyware running in the background that interferes with things like chat. I have to run Spybot and/or Ad-Aware to clean up the garbage from the sites my kids visit. If I don't clean it up, things like downloads from my bank to Quicken don't work properly, webpages act like they're stuck in molasses, and performance in general starts suffering. It may be worth a try.
