What Movies Have You Seen Recently?, Old and new

I just watched the 1971 film version of "The Trojan Women" by Euripides, staring the greatess American Actress there ever was or will be "Katharine Hepburn".

Krull. It's a fantasy from 1983 (or around then). I had never even heard of it before I saw it on tv. I said before it's a fantasy but it has a little bit of a sci-if twist. The story revolves around an an evil being, The Beast, coming from outer space to conquer the planet Krull.

"Widows' Peak" filmed entirely in Ireland is a humorous look at Irish stereotypes.
It's a very well done movie, Rated PG, 101 minutes, 1994

I hear ya. We watched the revamped version of 'Blade Runner' with our son, who enjoys the movie which is one of our favorites, and our daughter-in-law who'd never seen it before. Not 10 minutes into the movie she chirped "Isn't that sweet, look at how primitive the special effects are! This must be an old movie!"

Dang. Didn't feel ole to us til then.

Och! That makes me not want to show any of the movies that I grew up with to any of my teenage nieces and nephews.

As much as I hate to admit it, since it was one of those female 'love-comedy' movies, but it was a very good one. The soundtrack is awesome, also.

When you put it like that it sounds like I'm like seven years old.

Blade Runner is one of the greatest science fiction movies of all time. I've even read the novel on which it's based, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Like a lot of novels turned into movies a good much is changed from the novel to the movie and it's one of the very rare instances where I enjoyed the film more than the novel. There was no one thing that I liked better, it was just a lot of little things.



I just watched Gekiranger vs. Boukenger today. I'd be surprised if anyone else here as seen it. Especially since it's a Japanese movie from earlier this year that.

I just watched VERNICA GUERIN now that was a good one, sad but I do belive she did that right thing. I am gald thet they changed the laws and are now able to stop the drug lords where it will hurt them most $$$$$$$$

I have two questions 1. In Ireland do they have parole like we here? ( hope not)
2 . Who sang the song at the end? It was in Gaelic then went into English.

We watched Nanny McPhee last night, starring Colin Firth & Emma Thompson. A great Movie for all ages
