I am sorry we had an issue today with our broadcast; I have manually programmed it for the day. I hope it did not cause you too much turmoil.

Thanx for listening to Highlander radio

I can't say I enjoyed all the children's music today. Not something I wanted to listen to in the office.

It's still playing a lot of children's music, and it seems to be repeating itself alot. Almost like a record that keeps skipping back to the same place. If this is the new format, I may have to find a different station.

Hmmm... Well I guess it's alright. I would have preferred none of that children's music...

It was working great for a little while but then dropped back into the repeating kids songs.

Are these problems coming from the new script usage? How was the song selection handled before the new format waas attempted?

added seconds after posting :
It appears to be working again biggrin.gif yeah!!!

Oh boy, Paul's script bombs out big time!!! A very interesting set of unforseen circumstances caused all of the issues today.

No, this is not our new schedule and I do apologize for the issues today. I believe we have the issues solved and Killian will be closely watching the broadcast tomrrow. If any issues come up she will fix them immediately.

Again, sorry! unsure.gif

Now we're on the Charlie Zahm hour? The only songs playing are from him. I like him, and all, but not THAT MUCH!!! I wish the broadcast schedule would be posted BEFORE making a bunch of changes. That way I know when to tune in, and when NOT to bother!!!

Again, I am very sorry for this.

Unfortunately, when it comes to programming and making changes to this site it is done as we go along.

We don't have a test server for the broadcast or the website. Nor do we have the time to invest (or money) in such endevours.

The scripts and programming that are required to actually make a broadcast schedule are extremely complicated. It requires 4 different programming languages. We could not even have this available to us without a whole lot of groundwork laying down these technologies for use in the past year.

I'm not trying to make excuses, but this site has been built ad-hoc like and so far it has turned out ok. All I ask is a little patience while we get our broadcast schedule working.

There will be a page that shows the weeks programming and this will be tied to our broadcast software. If we change/add/remove something from our schedule, it will automatically update in the schedule (dynamic).

I can promise everyone that like the rest of this site, we will have a few bumps in the road, but usually in short order we smooth things out.

Ok, long drawn out explanation. I'm tired. Again, thanks for your understanding during the next days.

Oh jeez!!! Anything but that! I actually forbid the Wiggles in my house...however I love to buy the tapes for my friends who have kids. It makes for great revenge when they buy noisy firetrucks and stuff for my kids during Christmas. laugh.gif biggrin.gif

Good line up, Paul!
I like the light stuff, late on Saturday night into Sunday morning. After a night a playing ya need something to bring ya down.
I do like the variety of the line up. And it really dosen't deviate from the previous broadcast. Now there is a wee bit of structure. Which never hurts. smile.gif

Cheers, Paul... beer_mug.gif
