Now don't anyone laugh, but I've just finished enjoying the old "Our Man Flint" and "In Like Flint" movies. Hadn't seen them in years, and just about died laughing at the cornyness! I was too young to appreciate the references the first time I saw these movies--great fun! laugh.gif laugh.gif

I just watched "The Wizard of Oz" yesterday. It was the 1925 Silent Film Version.

I was truly different. unsure.gif

I also have:
"The Patchwork Girl of Oz"
"The Magic Cloak of Oz"
"His Majesty the Scarecrow of Oz"

These should be interesting. wink.gif

I saw Master Commander the other night thanks to my dear, sweet brother. By the way, Maisky, I don't have Original Sin.

I was just thinking of you this morning! Were your ears ringing? It's good to see you here again-it's been so long since I've seen your posts. Where have you been? What's been going on? Did you enjoy your summer?

Ah, Dreamer1!!! Maybe it was you who pulled me into the site again! I was peacefully working at my desk when I decided I needed to check CelticRadio out again. Life is grand, except for the work part biggrin.gif Summer was incredibly short. Am at the cabin now and leaves are changing already & it's cold.

How are you? What have you been up to? How was your summer?

I've missed you, dear friend!

I saw Jet Li in Hero last night. I recommend it for anyone who likes a) action,
b)beautifully done cinematics, c) a great re telling of a legend, d) a deep philosophical undertone that should make you think, e) any and all of the above.

JaneyMae,

Our Summer seemed so short, too! I love having the girls home again, and being able to relax together. We did the usual things, and had a lot of fun. We even took a road trip to Ohio to visit everyone, had a blast , and the girls discovered that they loved seeing all the country we've always flown over so we'll do that again!

Now they're back in school, still doing all the extra things they enjoy, and things are busy busy again. I miss having them home, though.

Have a great Labor Day! Hope your weather is wonderful, so you can enjoy that BBQ! Glad you're back here with us!

I just saw "Princess Diaries 2" with my daughter, and we loved it. It was really bad for the first 1/2 hour, but after that got great. Yes, it's only for girls under 15 and their parents, but as a girl at heart, I loved the dresses and jewelry and stuff! Sometimes, it's fun not to have to think during a movie. Anywho, it was pretty darn good, IMHO thumbs_up.gif

Dreamer1, Your summer sounds wonderful! How old are your girls? I know you've told me but I can't remember. Traveling with the kids creates great memories. I miss my kids but their kids are so fun to hug biggrin.gif

Hope your Labor Day was grand! My was lovely. Worked outside a bit at the cabin, did a bit of sewing, and played with 2 of my grandkidlets. It went by too fast, of course.

Oh well, back to the grind.

Take care of you!

Saw Vanity Fair on Thursday evening. It was just fair - not exceptional. The cinematography was choppy and oddly framed. Found out after the showing that Reese Witherspoon was pregnant during filming and they had to hide it for most of the movie. The costumes were over the top - very exxagerated period designs in odd colors and combinations but I guess that's what they were going for. Overall the film kept my attention but don't rush out to see it in theaters. I recommend waiting for DVD.

Seeing Princess Diaries 2 tomorrow! My best friend and I always go to the girlie movies together cause no one else will go with us! biggrin.gif
