Leelee Posted on 01-May-2009, 01:25 AM Dreary, bleary & cold...I'm spending a few days under the blankies.
HA!!! No time for that nonsense this past weekend. It was a beautiful, sunny weekend; Saturday was 17 degrees C and Sunday was a windy 19 degrees C. Went out of town to play 9 holes of Golf and went to a "Free Yard Sale".....I couldn't believe there was such a thing. But I left with some really nice (still wrapped) candles and candle holders.
Today is alternating between sunny and overcast, but still a balmy 17 degrees C. Hmmm, supposed to get rain tonight. We truly need it, as we have grass fires burning on the north and south side of us. Some are in town and some out.
8.2 Celsius outside and raining, and going to be raining all week long (can't finish painting the house ). Sunday was a painfully hot 21 C, which I realize most people consider that to be nice weather, but after the Ireland average of 12 C and spring showers......

It's raining now, we need more.....we need it desparately. It is extremely dry out here. Grass/tree fires are burning all around our City and some residents have lost their homes.
It is going to be a hot, beautiful day. 89 w/ 5 to 15 mph winds ( just a slight breeze). Too bad I am at work. Should have called in sick today.

We are breaking heat records here. I hate to complain about no rain when I see others getting floods, but we have about 34 brush fires going in Central Florida alone. We have been 21 days without rain.

It's 7 Degrees C (45 Degrees F) overcast with a bone biting wind. The Low tonight 3 Degrees C (37 Degrees F). Showers tonight and tomorrow . I'll have to bring my hanging flower baskets in for the night.....again.
Oops. I have got to watch what I ask for! It has been raining 3 days straight. Some have gotten between 12 and 18 inches. It reminds me of Faye but it is really weird to have the temperature at 68 after many days of 90.
