Hello all!
Not really sure if anyone's interested in this, but thought I'd post it anyway, since wireless broadband computing is opening up more possibilities.
I just completed a very good upgrade to my Kyocera KR1 Evolution-Data Optimized (EVDO) router that allows one broadband wireless card (which I pay $49.99/mo. for unlimited data) to service up to five people using either WiFi or a cabled LAN connection without a noticable deterioration in throughput.
The newest firmware upgrade for the Kyocera KR1 using a Novatel Merlin S720 card just came out today - this allows the card to work at it's intended speed - between 400 and 700 Kbps, which I have found in my area to be averaging 689 Kbps. It's certainly not high-speed DSL/Cable, but it's better than dial-up and can be used away from home or my office - for my entire family and a few of my friends!
Anyway, if anyone's interested, please let me know and I can provide more info.
Have a good evening!

Best cheers! Robbie
