| I am a musicophile and love finding new stations that delve deep into genres and this one is way to awesome. I am a huge fan of Loreena McKennit, Cherish The Ladies, Gaelic Storm, Mary Black etc. I also run a music blog 10songsblog on Tumblr, which showcases all kinds of music music based around themes. So as a topic starter question I was wondering who ya'll all thought was the best Celtic/Irish/Scottish harpist. I put my vote in for Mary O'Hara. And the second question is who are the seminal female icons in trad Irish/Scottish/Celtic music, the trailblazers and legends who paved the way for other women and musicians in general. |
