| ~The Shadow~ The shadow makes no sound Flitting through the open spaces Left where no one else stands An embodiment of loneliness Doomed by some twist of fate To remain ever in the background Largely unnoticed and ignored Then chanced upon as Some trick of the mind brings The shadow to the foreground Before attention wanders To more interesting things Leaving the shadow once again Nothing more than A shadow ~Meryat |
