It lies there
Red, Raw and thick
Marbled and veined
With succulent fat
The blood and juice
Ooze from its' flesh
Forming a puddle
That covers the plate
A few feet away
The coals shimmer in heat
Ready and willing
To sear this raw meat.
Some like it rare
For some it's well done
For others it's medium
And the weird, Crematoriumed
The sizzle and squeak
As the meat hits the grill
Is a Symphony of sound
A Rhapsody of smell
A minute each side
No sauce just some salt
And it's ready to eat
My senses assault.
