For years I have watched ABC News at 6:30 to get an American slant to world news and I enjoyed Peter Jennings, Charlie Gibson, and Elizabeth Vargas type of presentation. Now they have Dianne Sawyer, who comes off like she thinks she the Queen of News casters. Personally I think she is phony and plastic and it seems that the style is becomming more sensationalized. I will be looking for another source for American News and if I can't find a good one them I will stop watching. Mainly I watch C.B.C News and on Sundays I watch the B.B.C.
I agree with you, Camac. My wife & I have always watched ABC as the most "balanced" of the main three media news groups; that is, the best journalism of today's unbelievably poor journalism.
We have cried in anguish since that juvenile fancy prat took over.
We watch Fox. I got tired tired of manipulative news from the networks.
Fox? You're worried about slanting the news so you watch Fox?

With Fox you get both sides and you decide as it should be. That is why on any recent poll Fox "smokes" the competition. You don't see conservatives on the other networks. Just a token Pat Bucannon on "Morning Joe" and maybe a Bill Bennett on CNN. That's it.
IMO, if you want unbiased news, you can't get it on TV. I'm a Borque.org reader. They scour the world news outlets for important news items, and post the links on their site. For political news, you'll often see the Liberal take listed beside the Conservative one, and that of every pundit in between. It's Canadian based, but covers world news. Camac, you might be very interested in this website. It's about the only News 'Agency' I trust not to spin me one way or another.
Pierre Bourque is an interesting guy, being a politican and a NASCAR driver.
