She's been posting bits and pieces of stories on facebpook. It's been fun reading them. So how does one become an ambassador. Sounds interesting.

Leelee, It's one of the Lord John series, set in 1760, which roughly falls in the middle of Voyager. Here's a link: http://www.dianagabaldon.com/blog/ please scroll about half-way down to "What To Read When" column for your answers.
Hope I've helped! Hubby and I LOVE this series!! He's finished "Echo..." and I'm almost finished with it, too. CAN'T WAIT for "Written In My Own Heart's Blood" to be finished and out!!

Diana has the next book of the Outlander series coming out? when?
the Lord John books are all part of a series. Diana really loves his character. I don't so much. Not sure why. I would have rather she done a series on Dougal... but that is just me!
Wow, I'm surprised that no one has posted a link to Sam Heughan as Jamie yet. I'm even more surprised that there been no mentionof the TV series here either! So where have all of Celtic Radio's Outlander fans gone. Have to lure you back woth a link to Sa as Jamie?
Hey there Robert Phoenix!! Shame on me for not posting here in so long. I have been keeping up with the new Outlander TV series to come on Facebook. I believe it is to premiere in March? I have already switched to Starz in preparation. Can hardly wait.
Sadly, I haven't had time to read Gabaldon's books in SO long. But I am sure the series will get me back to reading them again and finishing the last two since a new book in the series is due to come out soon, too.
I am pretty happy with the cast so far, except for Dougal. He is just not who I picture in my head. hee hee.
Thanks for getting this thread out of the cobwebs.
No problem. I'm really hoping the series takes off as well as Game of Thrones has. As a collector it would be cool to see all the stuff that could be done with this series. And, judging by the comments that come after each picture of Sam as Jamie on facebook, there should be a good damand for Jamie action Figures. Also it would be nice to get the forums moving again like they were when there was no facebook.

I always have good intentions to become more active here but FB always calls on me due to my photography when I get online.
I only wish Jamie's (Sam) hair was longer for the series. I can't remember if Diana describes Jamie with long hair or not -- or have I just assumed this in my mind?
I read last night the Starz series has been put off airing till June.
Like you, I hope it is a huge hit.
Have you read ALL the books now? I have collected several things from the books as well.
I'v read all but a few of the Lord John Grey books. I actually have to pick a new copy of the first book because mine is so worn out. On of these days I have to pick up the graphic novel too even though I wsn't really impressed by it that much. FB posted a pick of Clare and jamie in full garb today. Looked good and it seemed pretty historically accurate.
I don't particularly care for the Lord John Grey books, only because he has never been one of my favorite characters that stand out to me. Maybe the one with just he and Jamie. I forget the name of that book. I never also got the graphic novel. I wasn't impressed with it either.
I don't really care for the character either. I did read the Scottish Prisoner which I thought was pretty good and I got it for almost nothing at Goodwill. Can't wait for the next one but untioll then I may pick Karen Moring's Highlander series just to tide me over. Her faerie series was pretty good so I'm hoping this series follows suit.
I saw that last night after they had finished up the live feed Q & A session. It was pretty cool and now I'm really looking foreward to seeing it. Have to wait for the DVD though. I can't afford the Starz channel for what the local cable company charges here. Sucks that I don't get the BBC without paying for it either. New book should be out in July! They had some of the Ladies of Lallybroach in the audience , one of whom was 83 years old. Pretty cool.
