I have some very sad news, Scottish icon David R. Ross has passed away. He passed on Jan 2. He is a Scottish historian, author, and just an amazing man. His wealth of knowledge will live on in his many books, and work he has done. I have included a memorial site for him.

For those who don't know who he was (like I was untill his Wallace walk) here is a video of Dave talking about the flag of Scotland:

and a very nice tribute to him with a side commentary by Jamesie from Albannach

A sad day for Scotland. Though I have never read any of his works I have heard of him and I will now try to obtain a copy of "on the Trail of William Wallace.

Our prayers go out to the Ross family and Clan. Albannach has a memorial page. What a great, thoughtful and active man in pursuit of self-less deeds for his country and family.
