New Years Resolutions, Ok here is the big question--

My resolution is to spend more time in the studio, working on new originals and listening to some really good music. This year I've let life's cares push my studio time to the background, and I'm starting to get 'down' inside - almost like a mild depression, and its all because I haven't rejuvinated myself with some creativity.

But come January, my message machine is going to say "I'm sorry, but Susan can't come to the phone right now - she's in the studio and can't be disturbed!"

My new years resolution is to spend more time with my kids, be more organized, get out of debt and lose weight.

My resolution is to make no more New Year's resolutions!

Is it difficult finding wrolds to dominate?

My new years resolution is to lose 20 more pounds!!!!

and I forgot ditch all the clutter in my house and spend more time at the gym

I'm with Irish Stepper...no more New Year's resolutions...

No new resolutions...just find better excuses!

But on a more serious note: I think New Year is an appropriate occasion to take a break and to think about our life, occurences, dreams, aims and wishes. And if we are getting new ideas then...wonderful!

My own experience is that I'm trying to realise them any time during the whole year whenever they come up to me and there is this "klick" in my head which enables me to follow them seriously!

I was sick as a dog on New Year's Eve so I didn't make any resolutions other than to not throw up.

But, today I resolved that 2005 will be the year I reclaim my life. I want to get it all in shape, and lose the clutter.... whatever or whomever that may be.

PS... sis.. where are you gonna find 20 pounds to lose unless you cut off your flowing locks????

Siobhan...CREATE!!! Good for you. I want to do much more of that myself. Perhaps 2005 will be the year I find a publisher for my book.

Gabby, dear... I like the better excuses idea. I'll use them next year when you ask me if I kept my resolutions.

Ooh, that's what I need to do: reclaim my life. I realized this morning that even though I've distanced myself from some very damaging, one-sided, hopeless 'friendships' where it was me doing all the "friending", my thoughts still turn towards these people. Its just me wishing they would actually begin to reciprocate, actually call or write or ask how I'm doing instead of expecting me to make every single effort that happens... but its apparent they are not going to.

I decided to make a list of true friends, of sweet people who genuinely care about me and uplift me instead of constantly complaining about how bad their situation is; and whenever my thoughts turn towards the whiners, I'm going to think of the people on the true friends list. And also I resolve to read and post here more often, where I am always cheered and uplifted by chatting with CR members!

I have two: lose weight (this is standard) and stay healthy!

Find the right guy and keep my car maintained.
