Welsh National Holidays are the same as those in England. But this deprives us of our culture. Days are an important part of comemorating who we are. Which days would you think are important to Wales?

Of course, 1stMarch St David's and thanks to Gwenynen's sharp eye on Wales(and no thanks to my disgraceful ignorance), I think 16th September Glyndwr Day are good candidates to start with.

When else is important to Wales, do you think?

I agree. Sep. 16 as well as Mar. 1 ought to be National Holidays. I still haven't seen any news about Glyndw?r! I almost suspect the media is trying to ignore him on purpose.

Another day is Dec. 11th to remember Llywelyn ap Gruffudd. (That's the day he was killed.) But I have a feeling whoever is in authority doesn't like him remembered either.

We need one more day in June or July to spread the holidays throughout the year smile.gif but I haven't researched.

What about a holiday in honor of Gwynfor Evans?
