Celtic Radio Community > Kirk and Chapel > Prayer For Sick Sister

Posted by: Tassiecelt 20-Feb-2006, 07:33 AM
Today I spoke to the White household and learned that Deborah White, from Distant Oaks is sick, very sick. (cancer).

Just last July my wife and I visited the family for a few days in Sonoma county, CA. Deb is a wonderful human being, a sister in the Lord, and her musical talents are known to us here.

I have permission from her son Jared to post here a request, no, a petition for prayer, lots of prayer for her recovery.

From what husband Chris said this morning, it will take a miracle, but we believe in miracles, right?

So, my brothers and sisters, let us get together and pray for Deborah, that if the Lord is willing, He might place His healing hands on her and restore her to health.

Jam 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jam 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Jam 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Already done. If God wills, may she have many more years upon this earth to minister in the Lord.

Thanks Elspeth, let's really be "God botherers" on this one, let's pester Him as the woman did in the gospels.

Please pass along my love and blessings to Deb as she fights like a true warrior for a battle that sounds like a difficult one waged against so fearsome a foe.

OH NO! I had not heard anything about this! sad.gif Deborah is my Gaelic mentor, and I feel pretty close to her! She didn't say a thing!

OF COURSE my prayers will be added in with yours! He said in His Word, "I AM the Lord that healeth thee," and "By my stripes ye are healed!"

She is on my prayer list now, and I will pass it along to others. Thanks for letting us know, Graham!

God bless you and yours, my brother!

Wizard, I wondered why we had not heard from her in so long. Now we know, eh?

Tassie, thanks so much for informing us so we all can be in a prayer circle together for this dear lady. Keep us posted. Give her our hugs if you speak to her or her family.
