Just trying to get a little feedback on the number of people currently using the favorite feature on CelticRadio.net.

This allows you to save a list of favorite songs in your account control panel. I am playing with the idea of featuring a members favorite songs list every day at a certain time. The members name would show on our schedule and 1 hours worth of songs will play.

If I do add this feature to the broadcast, I am going to enhance the favorite section so you can arrange your favorite songs in somesort of order.

I have not used the Favorites feature in the past, but would if you did something as described above! Would this be for Founders only or for everyone? Cool idea! It would be my luck, though, that my favorites list would play on a day when I was at work or something! biggrin.gif

I'm with Wiz poster_stupid.gif

I don't use it now, but I would probably use it if that were implemented. Kindof like the lists on Amazon.con

I do use the Favorites feature, but not quite for its intended use. Whenever I hear a new song that I really like, I add it to my Favorites list so that I can find it again and request it. I remove it after I either decide I no longer like it as much or after I know the artist/title well enough to find it. (I've got too many favorite songs to put all of them on a list of 5 ... walkman.gif )

I think a member favorites hour would be a wonderful idea, though.

I have all my 25 slots filled up.

I rotate some of them, others are just too good to let go!

I would be in favor of what you are suggesting, Paul!

For those not aware of "Favorites", click on the little plus sign next to the now playing song or listed in our playlists.

Go to your Account control panel and then click favorites on the left hand menu. You will see all of your favorites music selections that you clicked on the plus sign.

I believe that standard members can have 5 favorites, founder members can have 25.

It was just a thought on mixing it up and getting some different program. This idea along with 4/5 star music, Celtic Classics could be additional programs to add to our schedule.

Well, I guess I was being lazy because I just ran a query on the database and figured out that currently 1,750 songs have been selected as favorites. I guess alot of people are using favorites! biggrin.gif

I haven't used the favorites since the request system was changed several months ago. I used to go to my favorites and request songs off of it. Now, it takes too long for a requested song to play, so I don't request anymore, and I don't use the favorites.

Thanks Paul. I have used it, but didn't really understand how it worked until you explained it just now. Duh! I was thinking by clicking on that that would mean you would play my favorite songs more! laugh.gif idiot.gif
