There's a dear little plant that grows in our Isle
Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it;
And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye often wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the
Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.

See, that's all I had to hear. smile.gif It looked as though it was heading in another direction with the talk about the war, but I obviously read too much into it.

The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge.

Shush, now Richard. The guy seems to have a decent opinion of me. No need in letting him know I'm actually just a loud mouth. laugh.gif

(admittedly, I do have quite a habbit of calling people out. A lot.)

As for you raven. Canadian Yankee? blink.gif Does such a thing exist? How can there possibly be a loyalist yankee? wink.gif

Kassia, I used to go to California quite a bit; L.A., Oxnard, San Diego, and points north, when I drove cross-country. One of my favorite things to eat (and I'm quite sure it would be advised against by local non-hispanics) was to catch on of those little Mexican diner trucks and get a Carne Asada taco with lots of hot pepper sauce. I like the spicy stuff, and the Mexicans are always so cool to talk to, when you can find one that hable's Eeenglaase! rolleyes.gif

Especially for you, Caldwell! tongue.gif

YOU KNOW YOU'RE FROM NEW YORK CITY WHEN...

* You've been to New Jersey twice and got hopelessly lost both times.

* America west of the Hudson is still theoretical to you.

* You can get into a four-hour argument about how to get from Columbus Circle to Battery Park at 3:30 on the Friday before a long weekend, but can't find Wisconsin on a map.

HAR!

Those are my favorites! biggrin.gif

Where is Wisconsin anyway? wink.gif
