A weakness

Ya know, I tend to find a weakness for tales involving rags to riches or riches to rags stories. They make me contemplate myself at times. I guess it has something to do with the dynamic nature of the main characters in them. The changes, when introduced to this completely strange world, and to see the other side of things.
Stories of the sort tend to get me thinking of my failings, my state in life and in society.... And I start asking "what if?"

Something missing I'm feeling something missing a connection once so clear seems neglected and cold Is it just the evils of the world that have my vision clouded or is there something my sould wants not to see Let me find once again let me find that deep understanding the crystal depth of feeling and being that seems to have slipped a bit so distant

Ocean born Born without a country The waves on the hold, a lullaby
A child, born of the waves offspring of the sea
child of the waves born between two worlds
Blood, Tears, Swansong, Oceanborn. Four words that have found a lingering home in my concousness over the last couple of days
I find myself kinda wanting to start a review of Jodee James' Two Shores. Although I don't yet have a full opinion of the whole CD yet. I also want to do other things as well. Don't really know... don't really know

Hardware Failure

Maybe you've been wondering where I've been, maybe you haven't. There's a reason I've been completely offline the last day or so. I had a hard drive failure in my main machine, and pulled a drive from my server for backup purposes. I've then had hardware config issues there... fun fun.
I was up all night last night after work getting the server back online and copying data from the failing drive, then all day today restoring damaged systems. For the large portion of the day I've not been able to run X windows, and so unable to run Firefox/Thunderbird due to damaged installs. However, I have most things back online. No Windows, right now, since no space for it on the smaller drive I'm running on atm. Still got work to do, and still need a new Hard Drive. But at least it looks normal now. . .
