My last year of college was in 2000, though I think I'll be going back within the next couple of years. A drafting cert. will get your foot in the door, and from there all it takes is experience in the field. But, drafting can only get you so far. I'll be getting some sort of mechanical engineering degree, or easing my way in through a technologist program.

Just restrain me if I start acting too immature for all of you!
Steph, maturity is definitely a concern here! After you're here a while you'll see what I mean. No growed-ups on this board!
LOL! Stephanie, we will...but I'm afraid you will have to restrain US first. Todd is right; you will see, lot of crazies around here...
Yeah, Todd, maturity is a concern; I agree!

I'm a college student. I'm currently a Junior at Michigan State University studying Music and Education. My main instrument is saxophone (that's what I'm at State for) but I picked up the highland pipes, tinwhistle, bodhran, and uillean pipes (not in that order ) over the past 10 years.
Cheers

Go Green!!!! Another Michigander on the board. Until now, there was only 2 of us. Welcome! Look around, have fun, and don't take anyone serious!
I am following Todds footsteps. Graduated High School in '83, started going back to college in '03! Technically I am a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Figure at this rate, I will be going for my masters at the ripe old age of 164. However, like Todd (again), I have ZERO interest in acting my age. Peter Pan ain't got nothing on me!
Balisodare, nice to see another Irish piper on the list. Who made your pipes?
Eamon (currently driving my neighbors batty with a half-set of Claddah pipes)

Oh Great Crowned One (sorry, just can't help myself),
If you spend a few minutes looking around in different threads and subjects here you will notice that fortunately, maturity is not a requirement to post here. As a matter of fact it is strongly discouraged. Don't worry about it at all, someone will definitely let you know if you start acting too mature.

By the way, hasn't the sockmonkey been unusually quiet lately?

Wow, I guess I am the youngest after all! I'm in my final year of high shool in the T.O (only a bit over a month left to go - I'm starting to see the light at the end of a very long tunnel!), and in august I am heading out east to New Brunswick to get my B.A in political science. Much to my mother's chagrin (she's a doctor and wants me to follow in her footsteps), I want to go into International law. Though I have to say, I was tempted by the gaelic language and literature program they offer at my (future) university!
