Breeds?? You mean we have to pick one!?! I love 'em all! But if I had to pick *gasp* it would be a golden retriever. Of course I love Great Danes. And collies. And shelties. And bulldogs. And my exes, though I have been unsuccesful in my applications to the AKC to get them recognized as breeds......

My favorite breed would have to be my Schipperke named Ninja.

Of the choices given, I chose pug, because I think they are so adorable.

I would have picked Brittany Spaniel had it been a choice, though. smile.gif

Why thank you susie he is a snot sometimes. I hope your day is going better! I am like you I love all kinds of dogs. Never met one I didn't like..I have owned shelties to and like them I think I want to try a pom someday. These dogs can be a taz devil, could hurt ya they are so fast and playful have to be careful. I had a brindle great dane once he used to put his nose on top the stove drove my mom nuts..

Brian I like spaniels too. I have never owned one though. Pugs are cute..

A number of years back a local developer/contractor had a real menagerie at his mansion. He had llamas, peacocks, assorted other wildlife, and a pack of at least 10 wolfhounds. I would be sent to repair various electronic items there by my employer at the time. The first time I was sent there I thought I was dead when all those wolfhounds came charging at me. Fortunately they didn't want to tear me apart, though they did try to love me to death.

I have several favorites. My most favorite is the miniature dachshund, followed by the golden lab(I have never owned one). I am also partial to the Alaskan Malamute ( I once bred them) Our Family use to dog sled race and we ended up with a lot of Alaskan Huskies. I didn't think they were good companion dogs, because all they had on their minds were running. But watching them pull a sled in a race was so awesome.

MacEoghainn,

When God thought about giving man a companion to share his life with he first gave him a dog. He saw that this was good but not perfect. He than gave him woman and knew that this was grand. Man was almost in heaven, he had a friend to walk the hills with and a mate to share his days with; and all was almost perfect. God saw that his work was not yet done, so he took the enthusiasm of the dog and loving adoration of the woman and combined them. What he had created he called the Irish Wolfhound.

We who share their lives with the Wolfhound call them the Gentle Giant. They will know all of your friends and strike fear in the hearts of your enemies.
