I probably just missed this somewhere in the instructions, but I am wondering what the little bars to the right of the posts are about. The ones that say HP, MP, and EXP....

OK Crowned1, I think this is what you're looking for.

I'll have more permanent details very soon, but here is what the RPG ratings mean.
Your level is based upon your total number of posts. A nice mathmatical formula is used to translate the total post count into an integer number. The highest level currently on the board is a 31. (And that is not me!). How high can the levels go? That is up to this community. There is no limit to level!
Now for the standard RPG type characteristics:
HP - stands for Hit Points. Hp is based on user activity. A member's current HP is based on the user's posts per day. A higher post average per day, the more HP. A user with an average post per day will have 50% of their max HP. We have set the average post per day at 2. Members who manage to post so far above the average that they have more HP than their max will receive a bonus to their max HP.
MP - In the world of RPG, this stands for mana points. For our purpose MP is calculated by how long the user has been around and how often they post. Max MP is based on level, and increases with level. Each post a user makes costs them mp, and a user regenerates mp proportional to how many days they have been registered. We determine the ratio for MP and will adjust that ratio as needed.
EP - Experience is determined by how far the user is away from the next level. This is expressed as a percentage. Note, a user of level 0 has 100% experience. Making one post will put them at level 1. Also, a user that is shown to have 100% experience, will go up a level on their next post.
Remember that your HP, MP and EP is specific to your level and not for your total time here on the messageboard. Any specific questions about this RPG system please let me know.
Ok, let's see who the first is to have 100% of HP, MP & EP. It is possible, but very difficult!

Thanks! That does help! I am still kinda confused though... do these different levels get you different features on the forums? Or are they just a cool way to keep track of your activity on the forums?
Well, basically those indicators are used to punish us if we don't post enough.
For example, if one is not progressing at the carefully calculated level (and trust me, the formula used for those calculations is incredibly complicated), then that particular poster (well, actually more accurate to say non, or slow poster) is turned over to the Celtic Radio goon squad. That is made up of a bunch of malcreant sockmonkeys and household animals who are well versed in all of the finer points of torture who delight in seeing grown men cry like babies.
Believe me, you don't want that to happen. I am sharing this from personal experience and have just recently gotten the casts off and am able to cut my own meat again and feed myself. They have absolutely no mercy at all.
Don't let that happen to you. Post often.

Haha... Maybe I should change the way I sign my name.... people may get the idea that I think too highly of myself... My name, Stephanie, means Crowned One in greek, so that is why I always use it for my online name!

What if the question has no answer?
If all answers are wrong, except for every answer which is correct. And all the right answers are wrong, and all the wrong answers are right.
One question, many answers. One answer, many questions. And then the answer is many questions. Is it wrong, or is it right? that is a question. Was that the original question, then it can't be the right answer, can it? one answer, three questions now. And are we any the wiser for it?
There's four
Maybe we should just stick with soup questions. right? or was that wrong.... Ohh, I remember now, it was LEFT!
